Same, except for one. The one when you first enter Minister Cho's Estate is awesome 'cuz it has a guy getting stabbed with a giant stick. xD

I watch the cinematics at least once, but after that I tend to skip. I read the quest dialogs thoroughly... the first time.

It's rare that I don't skip cut-scenes, and I almost never read the dialog for quests. The voice acting is sub-par, and the animation is uninteresting.

For movie cut-scenes I always watch them the first time, just like I always read quest dialogs the first time. I even read Nicholas the Traveler's text before you give him the items, just out of curiosity on what he has to say. Besides knowing what I'm supposed to do, I like reading for the lore part of it.
After seeing it for the first 1-2 times though I just skip it, same with quest dialogs. Been there done that.
Although having to take my time reading things all the time drove my ex crazy.

Factions cutscenes are nothing more than mockeries of hilariously bad English anime dubs to me. "BeWARE... the HARvest... ceREmony!" It's like people don't know when to enunciate when acting. Makes you wonder why they get hired.
Now, the one quest dialogue that I never skip is Drakes on the Plain.

I feel better knowing I'm not the only one who cheered when Rurik died. (The first time I watched it, I was on my monk. I was like "Oh. Wow. Does this mean I don't have to babysit his Leeroy ass anymore? YAY!" )

The Factions cutscenes are just excruciatingly painful to watch. The fortune teller and Shiro voice actors are just the worst imaginable. Horrible voice, horrible enunciation, just horrible all around. Master Togo is positively terrible as well. It's like the developers didn't watch the cutscenes after they made them.
Also, everytime I travel to Elona with a character, I cringe at the line "A land of wealth and bounty." The pronunciation of wealth is just weird. I skip most cutscenes now.

I watched them the first few times. I tend to skip the ones in the missions I do for zcoins, but when I'm actually playing to progress through storyline I watch a few of them.

I play with the sound off and with 10 PvE characters, I skip cutscenes now (unless they open up cartography areas).

The dialogue is usually the only sound I have turned on. I like the cutscenes. I watch them all at least once, but I don't mind repeats (unless I've done the same mission more than once that week, then it gets old). I don't read the text boxes too closely, although I've learned that sometimes the dialogue can be funny, like the Canthan noble who tried to use healing salve for help in the bedroom. XD Overall I think paying attention to the storyline at least once really adds to my personal enjoyment of the game.

I never read anythng they say. It's not important mostly. The quest logs give me all the information I need.

I usually skip dialog, yeah. I skip all cutscenes because I have seen them all before and don't wanna watch all that bad acting again. The quest dialog...I have tried to read it all, but quickly got bored of it and started skipping it. When there is dialog that pops up during a mission (Togo's neverending blabbering during Tahnnakai Temple, for example) I turn off team chat just so I don't have to see the flood of text.

This. I like to know the story, then I watch it for my next char or w/e and then I know what the story is so I skip. But don't you just hate people who go afk at cutscenes?

Miscellaneous:- The green marker for quests has been removed.
That would be the most hilarious update ever. Imagine the QQ'ing that would ensue - more than the Ursan nerf and the SF "nerf" (the one that prevented */A's from maintaining SF) combined.
|
I would love this happening lol. The amount of "I have to read the NPCs instructions now!? WHAT!?" would be so invigorating. Heaven forbid PvE is made any harder... first the heros, then the PvE skills, then consumes, and finally a freaking marker if you get lost. What more can they give you? Free ectos for every skill quest, monsters nerfed to level 20 with only 5 attribute points, 8765% more XP so you are level 20 within 20 minutes of starting the game?
