I don't think the person who wrote Factions' story was necessarily just young. I believe they watched Team America too often, especially the "Everyone has AIDS" skit. Everyone has plague! Plague plague plague plague!

Definitely Factions, because it's clear they cared little about the PvE storyline and progression. Leveling it fast, but I always find myself cut down and daunted by the afflicted in there power :/
I normally go nightfall simply for the fact that there are heroes, which make the entire thing go much smoother. Leveling to 10 is a cinche, then heading to EoTN to do Kilroy levelling is even easier. Attribute quests are early and incredibly easy, and you ascend quickly as well.

I hated Factions, only ever managed to force one char through it. I absolutely hated the "city" portion of it, the graphics were horrible "the slums" were obviously drawn by a 3 year with only 2 color crayons to choose from. It is such a nightmare to find anything in the city as you can have 2 or 3 layered paths with no telling which path actually leads to objective. I also didn't care for the two team missions, it was hard enough to find a team on your side only to find there is a hench team on the other. The PvP portions turned nothing more than a grief fest 'You have a stupid build, why are you using ...".
I learned to play on Prophecies, though after having played them all, my favorite is NF, and like others before me have said, I won't start a new char in Proph again. You start at too much of a disadvantage when compared to the NF. From NF you can be in Lions arch gaining Olias, and then off to EoTN in an hour if you know what your doing.

Man, this would be a hard question to answer. All three campaigns have big glaring things that I hate, which make me uneager to roll another character out sometimes.
Prophecies: As previously mentioned, it takes waaaaaay too long to get to the interesting parts of the story. The Ascalon/Shiverpeak sections bore me to tears, and while I like the Krytan and jungle area with the Mantle arc, the Desert is another unskippable borefest that I must slog through just to get back to somewhere even remotely exciting. Plus, I always found it annoying just how long it takes to get to Lion's Arch (running aside). It feels like forever and a day to get through that game!
Factions: It's by a tiny smidgen, but I have to say that this is my favorite of the campaigns. I love the pace of the game, the campy storyline and characters, and the missions can be pretty intense, which I find fun. But again, it just has some parts that make me reluctant to start a game here. Fighting the same old Afflicted is as boring as watching grass grow (in real time!), and the city is SO. SLOW! And then the freaking grindfest with the alliance points that just stops you dead in your tracks by means of story? Who's smart idea was that to put that in the game like that? It literally threw me away from the game for weeks as I got so tired of FA, quests, and just killing random monsters (as you can tell, I'm not a big PVPer). And it doesn't even have a point to the story, because the stupid Luxons/Kurzicks never even freaking help you in the end anyway. The only thing I can look forward to is if I keep my faction up, I never have to redo that stupid quest in its entirety ever again.
Nightfall: The Istani island, like Prophecies, takes waaaaaay too freaking long to do and the quests and grinding that halt the storyline just bogs this place down. At least in Prophecies, I could skip crap, but here, nope. Can't get anywhere unless I'm such-and-such.
The Kourna area perks up a little, but it's still slow. I really had fun in the latter half of the game, in Vabbi and the Realm of Torment (or wherever we are; I just got there), but other than that..., the game really doesn't do anything for me. And I agree with the sentiments of forced heroes in missions to progess: fail!
I have Eye of the North, but as of the moment, I just...don't find it interesting, so I haven't played it all the way through yet. I just suddenly have all this new information heaped on me about Destroyers or whatnot (which I still know nothing about), and then I have to do all this yacketty-smacketty to get people to help me which I know they won't in the final battle. I couldn't care less.

Eye of the North is my least favorite. It abandons much of what made the game good. It clearly moves the focus of the game to grind, grind, grind for titles. The reuse of pieces of maps for different places feels like they couldn't be bothered making new content and just copied & pasted their way to the end.

Nightfall. Granted I like all of the campaigns, but Nightfall really ticked me off with its mission structure i.e. requiring a hero.
And while Proph definitely isn't my least favorite, it's definitely the least replayable.

Factions. Can't say it enough. Factions is by far the worst campaign. Too short, too fast of leveling, not enough challenge and the storyline is horrible. When I play RPG's I like to work through the game not breeze through it like its nothing. A challenge is what I look for and Factions does not give me that.

Nightfall-Heroes rlly messed up the game they make it to easy,Prophecies is the best lots of different environments and it was harder it took me about 3 months to finish proph it took under a week to finish NF and that would have been cut in half if they removed the grind

Hmmm.
Storyline wise I like Factions the least - Factions is great for speed, for levelling up, for gold and skills and suchlike, but storyline wise it's boring and the sheer inflexibility of the locations makes it worse - it's something they rectified with NF. If a quest takes me all the way to right in front of Gyala Hatchery, why the heck do I have to go all the way back and then run all the way back to Gyala because they won't open the gates 'til I complete the primary quest?
For starting characters, I don't like NF. I really don't like the NF method of levelling - at least Factions has speed and Presear is pretty; the NF 'get either level x or ss rank y' annoys me.

Prophesies, for much the same reasons as others. Takes too long to get to the port town. Takes WAAAY to long to have a "full" character (2nd attrib quest at Iron mines?!).
Also hate EotN. The explorables are nice, but the dungeons are just way too long with way too little reward (Frostmaw's for a 200g grim cesta?! Yeah, want to repeat that sometime soon...)

I don't mind Prophecies taking too long but the speed of character development is slow, and it's very empty.
There are many areas in which absolutely no quests takes place in.
Other than Vanquish and Carthogrpaher, there is absolutely no reason to go there:
- Dry Top.
- Talmark Wilderness.
- Tears of the Fallen
- Twin Serpent Lakes
No elites to capture, no quests to make, no collectors with something at level 20 that is nice to get, no artisans that craft something not available somewhere easier to reach...
Just nothing.
- Ascalon should have been up to level 15, when it is up to level 8.
- Northern Shiverpeaks should be the place to level up to level 20, getting level 20 around Gates of Kryta.
- The +15 attribute quests should have been made one in Ascalon and one in Northern Shiverpeaks.
- Enemies with level 20 and elites should have started appearing from Lion's arch.
- No elite should be found only inside a mission, and all of them should have a fixed boss that appears always in a certain area, not necessarily in the same spot, though, instead having things like 4 bosses sharing 3 spots and elites appearing only at the end of a mission.
- NPCs should have given reward trophies and the items they gave should have been in collectors instead forcing people to get those almost useless rewards, even when I played for the first time, I alway had items that were better and had dropped from enemies... in previous regions. What a -50HP grim cesta? Get 5 quests done in Ascalon and talk to the collector. Don't want that? Just exchange the trophies for Kits, scrolls or Hunter's Ale.
- Every single area should have at least 1..5 quests related to them, either being made completely or partially in there, or having NPCs that give them in the area.
I found spots in Prophecies in which there is nothing. And I don't meant just enemies. Nothing. No grass, no trees, no rocks, no NPCs, no placeable objects, no chest spawn areas, no structures. Just the ground and nothing around in almost the entire radar range. I think there is one of those around Nebo Terrace, but the most I've sen where in Maguuma and the Crystal Desert. For the Desert it may be normal to have spots in which there is nothing at all, but not for a Jungle.

By far Nightfall. Pve skills and the titles really killed the game imo, they had heroes and main characters you just didnt care about... AWFUL Weapon skins and Armor too.
You had to grind on every char you brought over(before they changed it) that was just god awful. The storyline was crappy, the only good thing was getting heroes so we didnt have to use horrible henchies in the other games.
Factions story was really bad... it seems like they just played halo and just stole everything to do with the inflicted.
Factions had awesome weapon skins and armors, these were by FAR the best of any of the other games! Which makes me like it so much more then nightfall.

NF is diabolical
only good thing to come out of NF was a few good skills and DoA
Heroes killed pug groups completely and the guildwars community bond as a whole.
it was also the only game of the guildwars franchise that i skipped through the cinematics on first time of playing. it really is THAT bad.
