Other games don't matter. Guild Wars is a game, you buy, install, and come to when you feel like playing it. That's why Anet wins. Because you can play Aion and GW or GW 2 at the same time, you can play D3 and Gw 2 at the same time, there are no fees and so it's always accessible and that's why Anet will keep customers.

Yeah, i signed up last year to hear some GW2 jabber. Still, I do think they sent one out with M.O.X. and for the 4th Anniversary.
I think GW2 was a good hook to get ppl signed up on it though.

I vote for number 1. As Xenomortis said, at least with games like Diablo 3 we have gameplay videos and an expected release quarter. With GW2 we have nothing more than the devs word that much is happening with it.
If ANet want to tease us like this, fine. But I've given up on Guild Wars - it's got to the point where I might not actually rejoin to play GW2.

Diablo III is probably much closer to release and being finished than GW2 is (I say probably because we've seen nothing on GW2), hence the videos.
The amount of lore and various stuff revealed more or less immediatly after GW2's announcement was also decieving to an extent, giving the image the game was much further in development than it probably was.
The fact they hadn't revealed or perhaps even decided on a level cap or if there would be one was a bit more sobering.

The worst part? The WoW fanboys are usually right : (

I signed up when I started playing GW over 4 years ago. I think I could count everything I received from them on my fingers. I haven't even progressed to double digits.

The lack of information is understandable, and I think ArenaNet is handling the situation well. Also I couldn't care less as there's enough other things to do and other games to play.

Guild Wars not being the main focus of NCSoft at PAX doesn't mean they can't show a trailer. Obviously, until its playable it won't be the "main attraction".

Comparing D3 to GW2 is like comparing the next Mario to Touhou.
Both are awesome games. But D3 is the top and I don't think anyone can argue.

Didn't the Dev's claimed they get together every Wednesday night to play GW2? That makes it playable, right?
Edit: Found it! Source

ANet is staffed and was originally created by ex-blizzard staff

Doesn't mean it playable for the general public. There a certain level of polish they would want before showing it off, or they might give the wrong impression.

I'd like to believe I'm entitled to see what Anet has been spending their effort on, because it sure as hell hasn't been the game IVE been playing (GW1).
