The only way of completely making it "No discrimination" is to give every class same skill opportunities and, ursan did this, but everyone still complained.
|
It did not. Certain classes were favoured due to primary attribute and/or armour class. Come tail end of Ursan, I started seeing a lot more groups that wanted specific classes because of the added armour bonus, or because of the ability to upkeep it. They changed that particular aspect when they nerfed it, but since we're talking about pre-nerf Ursan Blessing here...

Interesting observation, i suppose they could fix it to make it to
Ursan Blessing
Elite Form. You take on the aspect of a bear. All your attributes are set to 0 and bear attacks replace your skills. This form ends when your energy hits 0. While this form is active you have 750,,,790,,,800 Health, 100 armor, and 30 energy. Energy is regained with each hit.
I butchered the description but ya get the point.
~Edit~ added skills
Ursan Strike : Deals 60,,,75 slashing damage
Ursan Rage: Deals 100,,,135 physical damage ( No kd ) Hits foes adjacent to you
Ursan Roar: Shout. (2...5 seconds) Inflicts Weakness condition to foes in earshot. Allies in earshot deal +8...15 damage per attacks.
I made em a bit better with lower ranks, but again just suggestions.

Sry but are u retarded so u would rather turn GW back into a giant bear petting zoo?
Paras rits and rangers are so under powered in PVE it is stupid.
Just cos u have no brain and only wanna press a few buttons cos u lack the skill.
Also paras rits and rangers really we disowned in elite areas me i play on a para i had to make Hero and hench cos no one ever played with them now that the buffs are being done they are being used more often.

Yes I do to some extent. I liked how fast and stress-free it was to organize groups for elite areas, but I hated how nearly every other mission and quest was "LFG r10 ursan or monk, everyone else gtfo".

Why? Seriously now, is there any special reason why you are unable to create a character that people want, instead of demanding that they take whatever you have?

Nope, don't miss it.
I actually used it once or twice only and that was when beating Mallyx.
I never used it while playing.
Used to get in groups that everyone was Ursan, even if just to do a simple quest. It was disgusting.

I DO miss being able to take my "less wanted" professions through elite areas, dungeons, etc and PuGs were slightly less likely to epic fail.
I DO NOT miss grinding Path to Revelations with each character and being able to complete late night DoA runs while almost fully asleep. As long as you are lucid enough to press tab-space-1-2-3-tab-space-1-2-3 you can complete any area. And that sucks all the fun out of a game.

Because I shouldn't have to think "well people like this so I'll make a (insert choice prof)" It should be "I wanna play a (insert choice prof) so I'm gonna make one." If I wanna be a mes i shouldnt expect to get almost no groups.
And we aren't demanding they take w/e we have, its that they demand we roll w/e they want.

The did say it was too easy anyway. The only hard thing about grinding rank is keeping yourself from falling asleep.

So really, it's un-nerf ursan or just nerf farming into oblivion because there will always be outcries of " It's Unbalanced or it discriminates against other classes"
|
What we asked for was more class balance in PvE.
What we got was balance, sure. But we nearly completely lost class identity as well, "nearly" because we still had our classes' appearance.
"Hey doc, my foot hurts."
"Well let's chop it off then!"

First, learn how to spell. Second all those classes where not underpowered you just don't know how to play like so many people. Here let me give you a few examples of what me and my alliance did before the skill changes.
1.Had one monk and one Rit(guildy) in Groove mission while monk sucked the Rit healed everyone even kept singers alive, got Masters no problem.
2.Party made of 5 Paragons, 1 Derv and 2 Rangers, mind you no monks, we killed Varesh HM got masters then killed Abbadon HM masters as well.
Did more missions on HM while we where at it, all masters with same party.
All of this with no CONS.
Learn how to play and not use PvX wiki like everyone else. Anyone who thinks those classes are underpowered can't play.

I can't imagine a solution to anti-class discrimination that doesn't make people lose class identity. wasn't that the problem in the first place, some professions were deemed better than others and the latter had to h/h

Have to agree with you there Cloud_Deven, most people demand a certain profession and then some want you to run their build(probably PvX), they should take what they can get in a pug. Didn't matter the proffesion with Ursan everyone that had it could get picked, yes some professions work better with it but its about the same everyone do equally as good as long as they know how to play. In be for button smashing cause thats what almost every build is especially assassins.

I'd rather half the damage or even cut the damage by 2/3 than having Ursan the way it is now. The whole problem was that it does waaaaaaaaaay too much damage at little cost and made pve eassssssssssssssssssssssy(somehow that = bad in some people's minds). So instead of making it annoying to play with, why not just adjust the problem it self? Less damage would solve the problem. But......Anet thought otherwise. Xp

PvE is still very easy. We all need HHM [Harder Hard Mode].
Ursan made PUGs come back.
