If you think about it, the emote may be Aion but its now a PART of the GW game, in the GW game files.. but it REQUIRES you to buy another game, Aion to activate it on your GW account. I think it's bullshit like everyone else here.

Eh I won't pay money for it, but hopefully I'll have a friend or two who doesn't play GW, buys Aion and gives me the key.

another cheap gimmick brought to you by Anet: Where we like to rehash everything.
I wont be getting this as i wont get a pay to play video game, it seriously breaks the moral fiber of gaming..
Expect Wing tonics or consumables in the future for party title...

If you like a mix of PVP and PVE you will love AION. It's worth the money and the P2P fee it really is.
GW 2 is in the works for real and as far as I am concerned NCSoft has some great games.

Yeah and pitty you can not use barrage+conjure flame. Now give us a break, will you?

So now people are going to complain about not getting an emote from a game they have no intrest in buying? Get over youselves. A quick read on the Aion forums shows there are a TON of people playing Aion who came from Guild Wars, this is a nice surprise. I for one will enjoy my wings in Guild Wars and playing Aion on the 22nd.

Yup, now we know where all the precious GW1 Dev time goes.. into designing wings for another game, rather than fixing armor clipping issues for the loyal players of GW.
But you know what they say...money talks and bullshit walks. I bet the GW1 dev team got paid mucho to add this, more than being paid to fix the game's problems.

A bonus item you get when you buy Aion requires you to buy Aion?
Oh sweet baby jesus what ever shall we do?
You don't need the wings. You are not required to have the wings. Nobody is going to judge you for not having the wings.

Seriously, it's a wing emote, and it doesn't even transfer to GW2. If you're buying Aion anyway, great, but not many are going to buy Aion JUST for a wing emote in Guild Wars.
|
Consider this: How many people bought additional GW accounts just for the XTH?
The whole thing seems rather silly to me:
1. Spend $50+ dollars for Aion just to get some lame emote in GW that doesn't look at all like it fits into the GW world and probably has clipping issues with several armors, not to mention capes - and then, not even playing Aion because you're too busy in GW flaunting your wings. It's madness I tell you -MADNESS!
(IMHO, there's only one proper response to someone flashing their wings in GW - /point + /laugh)

Big difference - that gives you access to actual in-game things like Zkeys, and therefore eventually platinum. This gives you...wings. And I guess Aion, but that's not really a GW thing.

I feel more like it's the other way around. People who bought Aion CE's who've never heard of GW would now have it on their radar. If they ever do decide to take a break from AION or quit, they'll remember that they have a special emote for GW and take a look. They'll see how cheap the game is and that it doesn't have a monthly fee and might decide to pick it up.

Wait don't they get the game AION aswell? It's a pretty good deal for people who are buying AION anyway.
What's stopping anyone from playing both games? It's not like you have to play either 24/7.
Let's be realistic how many people actually try and buy CE of GW on Ebay (and at a ridiculous price too sometimes) just for the emotes?
Sounds like alot of people are just butthurt because they're not getting AION so can't get any wings for themselves. Oh well there's always Ebay...
Oh wait it's tied to your NC account.
