no its just anet's way of saying "we value untalented undedicated jackasses who want to farm easily far more than we do skill balancing"
seeing as how a huge majority of players have a permasin they farm with i bet anet is pissing their pants and too afraid to fix it because they might actually lose some player base..go figure though since the oldschool players such as myself are 100% NOT going to buy gw2 because if they can't even fix one skill in gw1 how can i expect them to get anything right in gw2? plus the trailer was pitiful..take a hint from games like mass effect halo 3, CoD etc. craptastic trailers don't sell your game!

They should nerf all of the farm builds.
The thing is, is that perma isn't even a farm build. You can solo over 50% of the game with it. It's like, the only purpose other classes have, is to help permas get through the spots they can't solo.

And the other 50% is farmed by 600/Smite?

No. Then you would, as i said, take out sugar / alcohol / party titles outa the game, and make the max 1k points.

Good update, considering how bad were the last ones.
But i'm still confused with this bspam love in the dev staf... Izzy still have stupid opinions about "fun" OP shitbuild which stole all the fun in ladder play ?
Come on... i'm sure they don't have any problems with nerfing skills into oblivion (Ether Renewal, Protective Bond, Smiter Boon, Grenth's Aura... and now Mantra of Resolve...) Why absolutly keeping bspike alive ?

600/smite takes 2 people and you are NOT invincible. perma takes one person and unless your retarded your invincible to everything.

I looked through the updates and thought everything was generally good. OP stuff getting hit, weak stuff made a little stronger, and everything with a clear and good reason to why it was done. The Tolkano change is my favorite though, I'm glad I don't have to port back to GToB now every time I want to trade faction for Z-keys. Overall glad with this update.
Then I came here to comment on it, and someone points out to me something important I've missed: MoR nerf hurts 600/Smite badly.
I can't stop grinning. You win today, ANet. You win. I really can't wait for the SF nerf. Please take your time and do it right, you've already just nuked one of the most overpowered, nonsensical, and long standing farms, and you deserve a pat on the back and a break for that.

And I would have zero problems with that.
Adding those titles in the first place was absolutely retarded.
"Yeah, let's add a title that requires people to spend 4 million gold...good idea no?"

Planned on farming feathers for grog this weekend in NKP anyway, so it'll be nice to escape the dark cave.
No real explanation for nerfing MoR in PvE was a bit weird, but then what are they going to say "farming builds using MoR were a bit OP... don't mind the SF there behind the curtain..."

Hmmmm
well I use a perma a lot because i had a sin as my main long before SF was 24/7 maintainable. I hardly every 600/smite.
But even I think it was incredibly stupid to rip MoR in PvE without touching SF.

I have no problem with the nerf to Mantra. Eles can still use mist form/mind block, and 600/smite/famine still exist. The fact that a group of permasins can SC a "elite" area in 15 min without trouble is ridiculous. No other profession can clear these areas with such speed! If Anet would nerf paradox, the only people that could use SF would be a/me. I have no problems with the A/Me build, mainly because it is slower in the "elite" areas.

One thing that SF does do for me...it gives me the ability to use it on other games.
How? If someone bitches about balance issues in another game, I can always point them to Guild Wars that has a skill that makes you invincible, and can be maintained permanently, yet the devs are at a complete loss on how to fix it.

Seriously Anet??? Bspike, while already handicapped in certain HA maps, wasn't that dominating of a build. Yet you blow it out of the water. Instead of destroying everything that's effective, why not boost other generally useless skills and give us a variety for crying out loud! You're loosing more and more subscribers every day with this crap. You'll go the way of the dodo bird if you keep this up.
Now pugging in HA is virtually impossible unless you're an infuser. Pretty soon the only ppl left in HA will be the McTiggers.

Overall, pretty good update. It certainly adjusted alot of skills that needed em. Escape in particular was handled with class.
|
Too bad half the skills that were altered have been bitched and moaned about for over 4 months, and some of the things that got nerfed were because of last months buffs with pretty much no foresight on what professions could abuse said skills. Just an indication of not getting your hopes up anytime soon especially with the NEW bi-monthly updates ahead.
Fitting the same old tone recorded over and over.
"Why was this update delayed a week?"
