VoR mesmers have been used extensively in GvG and HA in hex builds.
Also for all this mantra/SF stuff with pve, I dont get it.. .. you're all really mad that they didn't nerf super easy farming with SF.. . but you're also really mad that they did nerf super easy farming with mantra? Isn't that the same thing, just different build/area? Both of them provided super easy farming from what I've seen.

but anyways still no shadowform nerf. are they even trying anymore? they nerfed a few skills in the right direction but still didn't solve the major problems with the builds.
MB eles will still roam around, we will just see different varients of r/a's and bloodspike will still exist. they said this in the developer notes.

Sry haven't been on the GvG scene in a while.
Also,,, they nerfed 600 but not shadow form is why people are angry ( I suppose) Anet seems to REALLY like shadow form even with the quotes like:
" 6 Minutes for uw is WAYY to fast"
so what do they do? ADD MORE FREAKING REASON TO BE A PERMA.

You can't just think of a good way to change Perma overnight. I'm sure they don't want to smiter boon it, but they also don't want it to stay in it's current form.
It's not like 600/smite is dead...just takes more SKILL to play. Woah, weird right?

That's my point though, why are people so angry that they are nerfing one easy farming build, and then also mad when they are not nerfing another easy farming build. It sounds contradictory from an outside perspective, because it's the exact same thing essentially.

No kidding.
Selfless Spirit was nice when they made it actually useful. Well back to being an unused skill for the most part. Patient...I loved that skill, especially the flowers. Mantra...5 sec? rotfl.
Some things I'm glad they changed, others I don't care about, and still others it's like wth are they thinking.
And they do nothing with SF?! WTH?! . -_- Crap update.

Nice! Mindless hexspam ends, but it's still viable for teams that insist on running (lame) hexes. Mindless distortion spam ends also, but still very viable. Illusion of pain could use toning down though, not just a rewording or whatever. Though mantra should probably be pvp only, I see a lot of bitching from pve'ers here now and don't want them upset.

Nice! Lame builds just had their invincibility cape stripped. You can still run around with lame sin skills but at least now you can be punished for your mistakes.

All in all I'm SHOCKED! This must be the best update in quite some time. When I said in another thread earlier that "this update will solve all our problems" I was being as sarcastic as humanly possible, but daam man this comes pretty close!
Now if you only had killed off stonesoul strike in the same update, you wouldn't have to delete TA.
Please ignore all the people whining about this update, my guess is 90% of them just whine because that's how they've been raised to believe the world works. This update was definitely a step in the right direction, a path leading away from the power creep and button-mash.
I think I might just start playing again, not just idling in guild hall staring at empty friendslist. Thank you for restoring some of my faith in you!

all it would take to fix SF would be to leave spell immunity the same and make physical dmg reduced by 30%..thats it..can even leave it maintainable for all i care..but can they do that? no they have to go f up mantra for no justifiable reason in PVE.

Becausre Mantre of Resolve dont only 600/Smitter, now E/Me in raptor they can interrupt you, a Rt/Me farm to farm wings in AL in NM or other Rt zones with interruptions are mostly
But no SF, SF is perfect, is a complet balance skill.........yeeeeeeees arena.net, yes.
GG to nerf Mantre of Resolve one day before of Pirate Day but no SF -_-

They could actually do a lot to make the skill more fun and more viable in non-lame farm builds...but what are they going to do? They are going to change the entire game around the broken skill. It has to be some kind of joke.

Just think, a year from now, those of us left on GW1 because we were utterly disappointed with GW2's trailer will be telling some new players "back in my day, I used to farm with an Elementalist! Sometimes, when the mood struck me, I would farm with my 55hp Monk or Necromancer". Then the newbies will laugh and say "lol! Farm with anything besides a Perma? You're crazy!" - I'm also predicting that Assassins will just be flat-out renamed to Permas, and Shadow Form's description will read "You are invincible for 30 seconds. You cannot be vinced."

Still though. I guess I just don't get why people are angry that being able to super easily farm some areas is getting nerfed, but then also super angry that being able to easily farm another area isn't getting nerfed. It seems like the same thing to me. I understand that it's a different build and different area, but both of them are ridiculously easy to farm things that yield high rewards from incredibly simple to play farming builds.
It's like someone being angry that bloodspike was nerfed, but then also being angry that ranger spike isn't being nerfed. It's the same thing.
I guess if people are mad just because the variety of places to farm is being cut down or something maybe it makes sense. But it seems like people are angry directly at that specific build being nerfed and at another specific build (SF) being not nerfed, rather than being angry at the fact that it's cutting down on diversity.
