so with all the npc's dialogue changed will they just go the extra step and offer pirate as a language setting?
I don't think I'll go out of my way for this weekend, Nick already gives me more than enough booze for my drunkard needs.

did it last year, sold what I got from it, decided to do drunkard on my main a couple months later and finished it in January. I've got better things to do this weekend, namely fix my Jeep and go 'wheeling! :rawkfist:

I beg your pardon?
Pirates are considered the absolute divine holy beings in the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. They are the original Pastafarians. Their image as "thieves and outcasts" is misinformation spread by Christian theologians in the Middle Ages and by Hare Krishnas. Pastafarianism says that they were in fact "peace-loving explorers and spreaders of good will" who distributed candy to small children, and adds that modern pirates are in no way similar to "the fun-loving buccaneers from history." Us Pastafarians celebrate International Talk Like a Pirate Day on September 19.
I'm not insulting your religion, would you please not insult mine?

Is it only grog that drops during event? I want to keep my sanity so am avoiding drunkard title.
Wish there was a Willy Wonka weekend where we got extra sweety drops!

I'm not doing Drunkard, either. But, I am working on TH, and stacks of grog will pay for a lot of lockpicks!

What are you guys griping about? It's just another drop weekend, just like "Lucky Weekend"(St. Patrick's Day), or Easter. The only difference is that they swap out some NPC dialog that pretty much no one reads after the first time (if that) anyway.

Fun event, just for the originality of it the 1st time we got it. It was totally out of the blue and gave us something different we didnt have to pay anything extra for

That's cool. Even though most of us aren't dissapointed. Just remember you can't have double points like 24/7, the time will come around shortly. You just need to be patient
And im glad that grog is now confirmed to drop.

YARRRRR!!!! Time to kill me some raptors for Grog!! Still, I wish they would've created some gear with a pirate theme. A hook-hand glove focus, a pirate cutlass, or a pirates hat.

Couldn't have been done. With maximum speed tweaks, kegs were good for +/- 125 grog an hour, or a stack every two hours. (Hit the north 36 Vaettirs every minute, teleporting back to the door after scooping, +/- 2.1 grog per iteration.) Kegs were the fastest method available.
So if the guy farmed every minute of the event and never left the computer to sleep, eat, go to the bathroom, or have a life, it would have taken 6.67 days to farm up 80 stacks. Either the player had multiple people working on the project or was making purchases.
But since I know the player, I don't need the logic. He bought all 85 stacks, and invested a huge number of hours in finding them all below market value.
