The reason the panes don't sell is that they came after the game was stagnant. No one likes the microtransactions but if Anet released a new campaign those storage panes would be sold out. Why the hell would people who finished the game with no adventuring left to do even need storage? The storage need was greatly exaggerated by a vocal minority. If you finished the game and got GWAMM in 2007 why would you buy storage in 2008 or 2009 with no new content? They released the panes after there was no need for storage.

I'm fine with buying panes and it's easier than a mule. I just don't wish to give any more money until Anet balances the game better.

Yeah they won't be price effective over another mule until they are 1/4 price since you get like 100+ slots with a mule and actually more now with that extra pack you can get from zkeys. let's see 20 slots main then two 10 slots and one 5 slot and then up to 20 more slots then 25 heroes x at least 2 (more specific here half weapon and half offhand) and then rune slots of 25 x 10 (2 per armor slot right?) what's that all come out to?

Yol's not saying he misread the date (I know all about the day/month/year vs month/day/year thing). After all, the thread title says Oct 7th... which can't be misconstrued any other way. We know it isn't a thread res.

Yol's entire post is saying that "he thought this was an old thread" because people were making the same arguments that they were making in other threads from months ago. Not that its literally an old thread. But that it is the same information as an old thread.

Yeah this has been what I've been sticking with ever since I calculated the difference (space wise) when you have your character set up with bags. The added benefit of having another character slot also means either pvp or full game on 3 campaigns +expansion, so until the panes actually become price competitive, it's not worth buying them unless you're some sorry sucker with extra $$$ to throw around.

Support for Anet is one thing, but support for yourself comes 1st. end of discussion.

As for the pane discount, it was nice of them to do that. They didn't have to.
Will that induce me to buy them however? Nope, I can deal with mules.

Until the storage panes are $2.50 each or lower I won't be buying any. I will be spending my money on games where I get better value.

You won't believe the time and energy I saved with the storage panes when I went after wisdom title. Not only could I buy unid. golds in bulk, but I could also sell most stuff that came off of them in Spamadan without constantly looking for stuff on my mules. Someone was looking for an upgrade, I delivered within seconds. Which resulted in a fast and steady cash flow to buy more golds.

Even after I got Gwamm, they still serve me well because I have dozens of team synergy setups with different weapons and what not, so even today they save me time as I have to switch less through mules and placing stuf in and from the chest. Less time browsing means more time of actual playing.

It's about efficiency which is something I personally find important. If that makes me a sorry sucker with extra $ to throw around, so be it.
