I highly doubt they will use the same UW as the normal UW. Mobs will be changed. And as Reformed said, festival quests are fairly easy to H/H.

I think the mobs in UW do need a damn good change. Same goes for FoW, Sorrow's Furnace, TOmbs, and the Titan Quests - along with other changes needed.

I see your sarcasm but theres a few things wrong with it. First theres no zquest so no real reason to mass farm it. Second theres actually a lot of people who like CB whereas with HB there was about 5.

EDIT: I would also like to highlight the fact that the Halloween quests will be available for this Halloween only. So please enjoy them while you can. You'll find out why it's limited to this year when you actually do the quests.

sniff... sniff... I smell a special quest reward! Any guesses? My wife wants a mini-black cat. I personally don't care as long as it's a one time item.

Like the Polar Bear I expect a Miniature Mad King Gaurd from the quest with a .01% chance.

glad to see something new for halloween. Although the ridiculously disappointing jingle bear last wintersday has taught me not to get my hopes up for this kind of thing.

^ This.
I'm wondering what sort of quests these will be. I'm hoping they won't be designed for just a single player. Not for difficulty, but because it's so borrrrrrrrring. I like doing stuff with my guildies :P

I was thinking about it, and because they will only have 20 of those minipets given out to the winners of the 2009 Art Contest, they might as well make something for the less creative people to try and get..
Good luck getting it if it is a mini!

Hmm. I am intrigued. Why would the new quests only be available this year, and not in future Halloweens?
My first thought was, maybe they involve something or someone that gets destroyed/killed and cannot return in future years... but that doesn't sound very plausible.
Maybe they're going to remove the Underworld from the game, and it won't be there by next Halloween. Now wouldn't THAT be funny, haha!
Oh, and I raise my glass to the Live team for managing to bring us something new, in spite of everything. CHEERS!

So then the only place that drops ecto is Tombs?
Prices would skyrocket to insane properties ^^
I'm very excited for the quests and the CB (have to take a break on Saturday because of mAT though.)

Yes... unless they also made ectos rain from the sky in other places, so that they become worthless. This would be even funnier.

I highly doubt the UW will be removed. Massive mob change, possible, but why would they remove the UW? No reason when they could just add monsters of one of two professions (Assassin with Expunge Enchantments or Mesmer with Signet of Disenchantment).

I doubt it too, I was just dreaming up reasons why this years quests wouldn't be available in future years. Removal of UW would do it. Removal of Halloween would do it. Not really plausible though.
Hmm. Maybe its something to do with GW2, or its beta testing - which might be finished by next Halloween. Perhaps the quest rewards you with a beta-test key. But nah... that still wouldn't stop them re-using the quests, they could just give different rewards.
Is somebody leaving A-Net, and the quests are some kind of goodbye, like Gaile's leaving party?

Or the quest involves an area that will be destroyed by a waking dragon and the start of a story ( or side story) to the GW2 lore.
Maybe?

As a lot of other ppl on this forum have pointed out, this is the perfect opportunity to change uw, they did say they had plans for sf. No thing else rings a bell.

Why would you want to RR the most fun you'll ever have. And no you can't choose what side you get. You start with 5 random people.

While i agree that rr in cb would be stupid, calling cb 'the most fun you'll ever have' is vastly inacurate.

oh god.
RR would not catch on in CB. The only great benefit from it would be fast ToT bags and a few Gamer points, but you have to get five people in on it at once. Good luck at that. Anyone going for the gamer title or who just generally likes the arena (i.e. all of us that play Costume Brawl) will want to play for high consecutives and score even more Gamer points.

Stop talking about that RR... It's pathetic.
I have always liked Halloween event, it was my first huge event in GW if i good remember. Costume Brawl rocks and new quests sound interessing. Can't wait till 23!
