I speculated that we'll see an update at the end of Halloween that adds a new permanent UW quest, as the last part of this quest chain. That would be so much better than a halloween quest we cant do again.

Adding a boss encounter is a huge undertaking for the live team, it would need artists, modellers, play testers etc etc to make sure the balance is right. The last thing we need is another Mallyx/doa fiasco.
Although i would love a new boss etc and I hope we get one now, i'm not holding my breath. The live team already did a whole load for this halloween so we may need to wait until wintersday for the resolution if at all.

Im not underestimating the resources needed to do a new boss, but they're pretty much already in place. The boss would probably use an existing model (whether its Dhuum or not) that's simply reskinned, which is essentially a more complex version of texmodding.
As for play balance... the Test Krewe has already been informed and should be in place by now. Perfect use for them right there.

I mean i think there should be..but 1st and 2nd quest tell bout Dhuum comming back, and still he doesnt?

If this is indeed the last quest, I wish we were informed of that fact before hand. If I had have known that the last quest was repeatable, I wouldn't have wasted the time doing the quests on my other characters, nor the party points (as my main is going for that title, and needs every point). I also do not like that all of my characters have a title started that I never intended on giving them that they will never max, for essentially nothing. If there had have been another quest, or the last one wasn't repeatable, I wouldn't feel this way.
Ah well, life goes on. More than a little annoying though.

After completing the 1st quest, you have a net gain of 14 trans tonics (assuming you don't die) and after completing the 2nd, you have a net gain of 7 phantasmal, if you were going for the title and needed every point, it'd be foolish to not use two trans tonics to gain 14 more trans and 7 phan.

Not that hard I've done it on all 9 characters maybe died 4 times trick is go bone pits first once you get to the reaper wait for the skeletons to come up to where the reaper would be and than run past them makes for less on the way back
