Took me 2 tries to get it. I just wiki'd the reapers' positions and checked each as i went.
pits weren't fun at all.

a little bit of a suggestion for people experiencing rubber-banding doing this... From my days when I used to do smite runs in UW I learned that it's generally not a good idea to run through two bad guys that are somewhat close together. Whenever I rubber-banded in UW it was nearly always because I did that. Of course it can happen when you don't, but I typically force myself to run to the outside one way or the other if possible.

If you use a rock candy(s) or cupcake(s), etc. to boost your speed, it's much easier, but slower than the +50% boost. You can still use the skill to reach +50%, though, and you'll still be moving faster while it recharges.
Do the following to get through Bone Pits:

It sounds pretty vague, but do something like that and it should work. Got it on my first try.

Just KD the patrols before they cast, run past knocking down as needed until you have the foes in range, and then turn them all to the Thorn side. Do the same to exit. If you have TexMod, the spirit radar mod is very useful.
The quest took me 31 minutes the second time because I died the first. I could have done it faster, probably in 20 minutes or so, if I used the running skill instead of just cruising with cupcakes and candy. The Bone Pits is challenging the first time, and the quest may be difficult for those who don't already know the way. I wouldn't repeat it without consumables to boost speed.

Died the first time at the pits at the entrance after i activated the reaper...evil dream rider caught me with my health down
Did it again no problem- I use the 4th skill when under/over the bridge and have just enough time to get out of agro range for the mob.
I've been enjoying the halloween event so far...but I was a tad dissapointed today. When can I start killing Dhuum instead of running around?

The second quest was interesting with the Bone Pits section being a pain in the butt. Can't wait to see what the follow up has to offer now.

I thought it was a fun quest. It was nice to explore some areas of the UW that I haven't been to before. Pits was a little tough, but I beat it with little trouble on my second try. Keep it up Anet
I was afraid I was going to lag out a few times though. o.O

Another tip: space-walk. Select a foe outside attack range and press space to walk to it. If you're rubberbanding you'll know it immediately. Also, if you are rubberbanding you won't see new enemies outside the radar range of the place you are stuck in. So if you are running and wondering where all the enemies are, it's because you are stuck.
With a red rock candy you can do the quest in about 17 minutes.

Well, using cupcakes it wasn't very difficult though I almost died at Bone Pits. The quest was a bit too long but hey, at least i got to see the entire UW for the first time in 4 years

Long and easy, the worst type of quest. How can people fail it is beyond me, 10s kd with sic recharge, 50% speed boost with 5s downtime and LOL YOU DONT ATTACK ME FOR 20s + super duper snare.

I have a funny feeling part of this quest was to try and get players not-familiar with UW to see what it is like inside without a 1k cost.
........this is not the best idea.

Having found the first quest overly simple today's was a swift kick in the butt. I'm only slightly familiar with the UW and the areas I didn't know weren't too troubling, really. But Bone Pits...yikes. Made the mistake of taking them on 5th first and sat screaming at the degen the first time around.
A couple more bad starts happened but I finally got through it. Started to notice the lag the last time around...don't think I'll be trying it with any other characters until I hear about that getting fixed.

I've been really enjoying this quest chain so far. Running about in the Underworld while yelling at it's inhabitants is fun.
The second quest wasn't hard, in my opinion. My first completion took a little under 30 minutes and the second about 20.
One interesting trick I learned revolves around shout range being larger than your aggro range. You can use Sugar Shock on enemies outside your aggro bubble to knock them down without aggroing. In some cases, you can knock down an entire group before aggroing them.

Why not? It wouldn't be the first time.

Just like the linked event above, these quests are temporary. Wintersday quests are in Underworld as well. Dwayna's is in Bone Pits, and Grenth's is on the Chaos Plane.

Well this one is kicking my butt... of course I am a newbie to underworld area (yeah 4 years and nearly GWAMM and still a newbie)...
Don't like it... but at least people aren't saying it was too short. If this is easy, I am afraid of what will make others say it is "Hard".

I've cleared the UW before but don't have it memorized.
Using the map on the wiki it took me 35 minutes to complete. Definitely harder than yesterday's 3 minute quest but can be beat using the same tactics and having some patience (waiting for patrols to pass, letting health regen if you get hit with a hex, etc).
I almost died at 6/7 reapers due to rubber-banding but managed to escape and finished. Too long (and only 1 mistake can force redoing it all) for me to bother with doing this on more than 1 or 2 characters.
Running around avoiding stuff was a neat idea for the first quest, but repetitive for the second one. Hope the next quest is more interesting.

Well we got phantasmal tonic as a reward for this quest, so my guess is we have to transform into a reaper for the next quest and help the reapers do/fight something.
