This isn't set in stone, hell it might even not part of the stone.

This was off the earlier Halloween Quest thread.

Do note that not all of those are Dhuum's skills. But all are skills for during the fight, it appears.

Possible, but it has been said days not months.

You don't always get the reward from the giver.
I hope that Dhuum is not in a non-repeatable quest. I want to fight him multiple times!

I think it would be pretty awesome if Anet took a page from Diablo 2's book in this case.
After enough enemies or skeletons or something similar have been killed in the UW, a mass pm states that "Dhuum stirs in the UW" or something similar, indicating that Dhuum is available to be defeated in the UW for a certain period of time. He might have a chance to drop a unique item, new item skin, mini, etc...or maybe a chest pops after killing him.
It would be a blatant copy of Diablo 2, but at least it would be fun.

That's helpful. I'm sure many more people go look at her obscure and painful to read in any order journal than on fan websites, or even the GW website.
How long do you think it will be until A-Net figures out that wiki is a $hitty way to keep their fanbase up to date?

At least we got an update specifically telling us Yeah we're gonna give you a conclusion soon instead of in Gw2

Might be a bit off topic but all this dhuum stuff made me dig into lore and wiki. It is said that "Known followers of Dhuum include the Terrorweb Dryders, Tortureweb Dryders, Riders of Dhuum, Skeletons of Dhuum and the Emissaries of Dhuum." Makes me wonder do aatxes serve anyone? Aaxtes are nightmares.
From wiki
"Nightmares, also know as Shadows, are creatures that seem to come from The Mists and look like they are made out of shadows, mist or darkness.
Although it is known that most servants of Menzies are nightmares (with few exceptions like the traitorous Eternals, who are ghosts, and the Darknesses, are suspected to be demons), it is not known if all nightmares serve Menzies."
I can understand purpose of ghostly types (mindblades , dream riders, smites etc) ,abominations, skeletons and others... but aatxes seem neutral, they just wander the labyrinth (minotaurs reference) and do not share aggro with skeletons...
Kinda nerdy... but meh i love the lore :P
Edit: Also what would Menzies and Dhuum do? Till recently they've been aiding abaddon with realm domination and stuff... makes me wonder what will they do next. I think we will find out that in gw2. (I don't think we'll see dhuum destroyed in gw1, only sealed again maybe)
Also if there was disscusion on this, can someone please pinpoint, i would love to read any speculation on this topic. I've tried search and failed, cause i can't use search.

Dunno really where it is leading in the story, but my guess is the quest is going to open up that area behind the Ice King in the halloweenquests...That area has been sitting useless for a long time now (maybe there is a quest reated otherwise, im not sure), but it seems logical that they would open the door behind the ice king since that is where the ice king was and he spoke of the door behind him. Maybe? who knows

I don't mind the cliff hanger much, but in the mean time I already grabbed the quests on my characters.

That door doesn't physically lead anywhere...there is just a cliff behind it, and somehow I doubt they would render in a new area there just for this quest. You will probably fight him in the chamber area where the reapers/king is standing, think along the lines "you wait in ambush until Dhuum emerges from the Hall of Judgment's sealed doors"

Since the front door area is a precise match with the temple in Lonar's Pass, it wouldn't be too hard to reskin the rest of the temple and drop it into the blank space in UW.

I still find it weird and funny that the reward also include ToT bags.
and I still think the 5th quest was supposed to happen "During" Halloween and something went wrong in the coding.
Skellys /no skellys/Skellys again and the diapering Steward.
Oh well guess if we have to wait we have to wait.

I wouldn't be so sure to call them Nightmares, to be honest. And they do not serve anyone, according to the Reaper of the Labyrinth, they are natural creatures to the Underworld.

You should look into the Druid's Overlook (link in my signature). For GW2 lore, go to the Durmand Priory on the GW2Guru site (which can be found in the Athenaeum Chamber link in my signature).

What Menzies and Dhuum would do, would probably just resume their assaults on the Fissure of Woe and the Underworld respectively.
As for this being discussed - there isn't a specific thread, but among one of the three lore forums (two I've pointed to, the third is on the GWO site here), I'm sure it has been discussed. Dhuum seems like as popular a topic on GWO as the Elder Dragons are on the GW2Guru lore forum.

I hope he busts through those doors.. I remember when the game released- I used to go back there with my monk and bag of hot ectos and wonder wth that room was put in for
be so cool if you walk in there.. and then the doors bust open and he's like on roids- sweeps around the room like prince with a big scythe and all noobs die instantly.. then us vets get the enchant strip treatment and he smashes all sprits
then you end up in forgotten vale and all you hear is the mayor say.. great another noob! (and you de-level to 19) then I come in vale farming and save you
