Advertising for a run, having the dungeon name in ALL CAPITAL letters, and then on the run to the dungeon, someone says "Oh wait, this isn't CoF?!" and leaves.
Joining a new guild or alliance and hearing the same old arguements: cursing, name calling, and beggar-haters. Did I mention name calling?
When district 1 is full.

What annoys me the most is when they COMBINE names from books/movies/games/whatever that don't even make any sense.

I honestly don't mind ripped off names, but this mix'n'match of names from other fantasy worlds really annoys me ...... a lot

Oh and to the guy above, I believe that ...
affect is the verb and effect is the noun.
e.g The painting had the intended effect and it affected me emotionally

Definitions:
Affect, a verb, means to influence something, such as "The rain will affect our plans for the day". Affect can be also be a noun in psychological terminology.

Effect, as a noun, means a result, such as "The effects of smoking include increased cancer risk and looking 30% cooler." Effect, as a verb, means to cause, as in "The rain effected a delay."

People who quit on you simply because you arent doing what they tell you. i.e. was playing with this dude the other day, who was giving retarded minimap instructions and trying to make things more complicated than they needed to be, when the way i was going was fine if not better. I kept proceeding in my direction and he quit on me mid-mission.

An "effect" is the reaction from something happening to an object or person. For example, if I rolled a ball away from me across the floor, the rolling is the effect that I created by pushing it.
If I "affect" something, it means I am influencing it in some way. Again, using the ball example, if I continued to push it without it rolling away on its own, I am affecting, or influencing, it's movements.
The easiest way to think of "affect" and "effect" is the phrase "for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction" where the "effect" would be the reaction and "affect" is the action.
