Then why play a cooperative MMO? Play Dragon Age or Oblivion.

I share you pain.
I took the quest on my Warrior pain too.
I still need a confirmation if Dhuum can be knocked down. Maybe this isn't as hard as we all think as a hammer warrior could just stun lock him

Because it is fun and what sold it for me was that I could play with people or by myself

Can't be KD'd normally and conditions don't affect him either. Hexes stick though. H/H'd with a friend, we were a sliver away from him being rebound on our first try at him. He was a Rit with 2 rit heroes and a RoJ, and I run a W (NOT HB) and a Discord team.

Does anyone know if this quest will go away or will stay? I've just recently started up GW so sorry if this has been answered or seems dumb.

The "quest" is the halloween quest which once taken can't be taken again.
Dhuum is here to stay.

Because Guild Wars has always been designed as a game that can be played with AI. Look at the back cover of your Prophecies box if you don't believe me.

Nitpicking but henchmen didn't exist until rather late in proph's development... and AIs were never allowed in UW until heroes.
Nightfall was when the dev team really decided that GW should be a single player game.

Cool story, bro. You might have noticed I said it has always been designed as a game that can be played with AI, not that that particular feature was in at the very start of development.
You might have, but apparently you didn't.

The point was they hadn't planned on henchmen. Explorable areas were solo-only, you couldn't even party in them.

... That just added to the argument about this not being a multiplayer game.

But they did plan on henchmen, or they wouldn't have been in at release.
You make the mistake of taking a game's first few concepts and thinking that's the entire design process.

I want that scythe, other than that I really don't care. Still, no skill balanced means no point logging in anyway, so I guess thats going to be two months from now.

I have to do all the normal Underworld quests to complete the Waiting Game quest??
.....who came up with that stupid idea? Festival quests are supposed to be easy and fun. This ruins it. [goes to delete WG quest from log]

You mean that fun little quest that rewards 5k worth of gold?
I mean, come on. I'll say it again, it was OBVIOUS that that was going to be a hard quest, likely involving the defeat of Dhumm.
