Enchantment and hex durations are halved in the hall of judgement.
Problem solved, makes it doable for balanced, and many other gimmicks, but not owned by one gimmick.

That is laziness. If you want to do it, get a friend and hero it. Nothing is hindering you from that except yourself (or anyone else with this same attitude)
As posted by lorenna they are already doing it in a balanced group. That shows balanced can be made, granted balanced pugs are gonna be iffy, so get friend's together to do it.

It takes gimmick builds or skilled players.

+1
the idea of adding dhuum was really great, somewhat epic battle with another fallen god, getting more into the lore and at last having some new - elite! - content, but it hasn't solved the uwsc problem, it even added more difficulty to balanced groups than to perma ones. thought it was meant the other way around.
btw. just waiting until the new 'full UW run! with DHUMM!' threads spread out in the offered services.

What did you fix? Skilled players are going to be able to take Dhuum down with tweaked balanced builds. Skilled players with balanced builds can beat anything in PvE, Dhuum is no exception.

Crap like this REALLY makes me value the World of Warcraft system. Blizzard, THAT'S a developer. A great one.
Bad update. They never deliver blah blah blah blah blah. There's nothing I can say many people haven't said before.

You said it yourself, I just highlight it for you.
But good luck looking for a group of 8 skilled players anywere outside friendlist or ally.
And they will still take longer then the gimic assas.
(Though I admit I am slightly pissed after my random group whiped at second to last quest (guests) after clearing monuments and horsemen because the 2 monks left as it took 2 hours and they had to go.)

Just a question. Has anyone beaten Mallyx HM with balanced, no cons sets and no pve skills?
I know i'm a GW old timer, rocking to and fro in my chair, but To me balanced is not using con sets and pve skils and is profession inclusive, not exclusive. So just wondering.

If it weren't for the imbagon, I'd be able to say yes, if it's any + to my accomplishment, it was only three humans and five heroes XD

I don't quite understand what you're trying to say. Are you trying to say that tweaked = gimmick?
Also, I'm not saying that a group of skilled players is easy to get (it's almost impossible even with friends these days), or that they're faster than gimmicks, I'm saying they can do it.

Sadly, balanced does consist of some PvE skills and consumables, because ANet doesn't understand how to properly add challenge. Yes, I remember back in the day, where there were no PvE skills or consumables, and completing FoW/UW with a balanced build was somewhat challenging, but times have changed.
As for the question, I don't personally know of anyone who's done it, and quite frankly I don't think you can find a group of 8 players who are good enough to do that today, so it seems we won't be finding out. I'd love to try it, but I think getting 7 skilled people to attempt it would be more challenging. I mean, Racthoh won't even try to kill Dhuum with me.

If you think this is tough and cry about it being 'To hard' then GL killing dragon bosses in GW2..(you ever thought they might be toughening us up ready for that :OP)
personally i think its what the game needs...a challenge and people/guild putting their heads together and playing a relativly tough area how it should be...tough...the only reason it was so easy was due to UWSC, it showed us alot more understanding of foes timings etc, so we got to learn abit more about it (like the charged blackness paths ) .....now its back to the drawing board wd Anet good update.
