Your best bet here is to post an open letter about that specific grievance. A lot of people (me included) will agree with you, but you need an argument about how the problem is systematic and what needs to be done if you want to see changes.

I hate to be mean here because of prospective IRL consequences, but if you feel like you're getting poor customer service and that the issue merits attention, you need to draw attention to the problem. Resurrecting a quasi-dead thread is much less likely to do that than a new, focused thread on the issue.

There have been several open letters posted to Anet over the last 2 years or so (the point at which things started going downhill), with titles that made it abundantly clear that a response from CR was hoped for. I don't believe in any of those types of threads, official responses are ever written. Those tend to be more venting (one-sided) threads than open dialogues. I think people have given up trying these sorts of things, and go straight to bemoaning and criticism. I can't say I blame them. Case in point.

At some point wasn't the XTH project farmed out to contractors? There was a great big redesign of the site and people were forced to log in with their actual game logins. Then XTH went away hopefully for good.

I hate to be the one to point it out, but Anet hasn't exactly been just ignoring everyone and wasting time. They just have more going on. . .

Cut 'em a break. XTH is gone. Let it go.

Yup and they lied to us about wanting to fix this a long long time ago.

If they can't fix the broken "update" to the XTH, then bring back the old version. It worked for the most part.

Shameful that they are hiding over this issue.

what a lot of people are arguing though is that the old version DIDN'T work; that it was completely broken and the game would be better off without it.

distributing the last set of points that weren't given out would be a good start

a lot more people are arguing that either fix it, or announce that it's being scrapped for good

this quietly ignoring it and our concerns doesn't cut it

Well, I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and assuming that they're actually working on it, albeit at a snail's pace. And if that's the case, then I'd rather have a late fix than a premature throwing in of the towel.

On the other hand, it's possible that this is just a clever strategy for nixing the XTH while appearing to be working hard to save it, thus catering to both camps and leaving only the closure-cravers out in the cold. I prefer the innocent-until-proven-guilty approach though.

So did most people probably. This is a good argument for removing a lot of the crap that is in the game.

i think that everyone would get over the fact that its done if anet would own up to what they said about distributing the may points. thats the only particular reason i even hold a grudge at this point. if we werent gonna get em dont tell us for 5 or 6 months that we will just tell us we wont and let it be done. i just kinda miss watching the matchups as they unfolded with my fellow guildies, it was always entertaining making side bets and such with them over various rounds. and actually thats where the zkeys generally went, to the person who had the better side bets, which was cool that i could bet with the house's money pretty much.

Enough time has passed for them to test XTH, put it through its paces and put stress on it.

The time has come to let the community officially know WTF is going on - Will XTH COME or GO?

Man the RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO UP!
