I sold something for 100k+2e. Somebody put in 100k+2e. We both accept. Boom, cancel, wtf? His "inventory was full, sorry!". He goes to Xunlai and comes back. Of course, he now offers 100g+2e.
I had situation 2 .

That is a classic one, that actually happen to me when GW first started was trying to buy a 20/20 sword hilt ( remember the prices of those way back when?) dude kept canceling, said inventory was full came back did it again, said opps sorry wrong button. Final time put it in there ( by that time I was irritated) wasn't paying attention gave me a 20/18 instead of the 20/20

I fell for the "100g for 100k worth of ecto" scam last week, and I felt like a complete idiot afterwards. The dude actually traded legit for the first batch of 15e, which resulted in my not looking too closely the second time. I was selling the ecto for a friend, and since it wasn't her fault, I felt like I had to give her the cash. So goodbye 100k. Not as harsh as losing an unded Kuna though.
Surprisingly enough, although it was partially due to my own stupidity, ANet supposedly suspended the guys account after I reported it. I was somewhat shocked.

Well i hope u report, although a temp ban for a few days for this guy still makes this guy happy i believe. Read the description next time instead of the pictures. I get attempt scam buying unid gold. I always hover over each item to check them. After buying a few sets, this guy dumps a white in there and a gold that is id and stripped of its mods.

Here is my story which happened about a month ago.
A guy was spamming in kamadam "WTB 10 ectos for 66k." Back to that time ectos were 7k/each at trader, so I thought it's a good deal, then I whispered him to trade.
Scammer showed me 65,555g at first.
I showed him 10 ectos and saw his offer, was thinking why he offered me such a weird amount of gold, but anyway, 65,555g is close enough to 66k, so I hit accept.
Scammer didn't hit "accept", he changed his offer, and I could see he was adding something to the trade window.
After he reopened his trade window, it turned out he added 2 ToT bags, so my first thought was "hm..this guy is honest, he said 66k then he will make it as 66k." So i ALMOST hit "accept" button, but wait, I felt something wrong. After carefully looked all part, i found out the scammer switched his amount of gold from 65,555g to 6,555g.
I haven't be scammed for my 4 years of playing GW, but this time he ALMOST got me...
Tips: If a deal is too good for you, 90% of time there is a trap ahead of you!!

rotfl. Best thing I've read all day. And good advice.
That sucks though.
But yes, I do hope you got screens to send them in and report.

Tbh I have been scammed a few times, but thats mainly because I dont bother nit picking over a deal. So its my own fault, but it doesnt really bother me, because its never hard to replace what I have lost.
Being hacked on the other hand is pretty annoying, but not hard to get over it when you realise it has no real worth.
