Dwayna Regalia dyed black is really nice too
All this will definitely serve as some good paragon armor and headpieces at last, LOL

I'm still undecided.
The price seems a bit much, but they do look pretty amazing. 5 bucks for both would have been an instant buy though.

Purchased.
Is it "worth" $10? Probably not for what you personally get. Do remember that your monetary contributions support ArenaNet, and Guild Wars 2 is going to be very bleak without financial support.

Lol.
I'd be pretty 'paranoid' to buy anything on the ncsoft store since all these cases of people turning out hacked accounts. ):

how about that having been the reward to some new quarterly content update, you know, that other promise that was broken?

Costume not worth losing 4+ years of gaming, turn off the password reset function at NCsoft site and I might consider it.....

They started handing the game out? Where was I for this?
Again, you people seriously need to learn what the word "free" means. Buying a game and playing it for 5 years does not equal free.

I like the Dwayna one, but I'm not playing GW that much anymore, I don't think they have been supporting it as much as they should have been, and frankly I think that the NCSoft side of things is too sketchy for me.
If there was a way to buy this without going through NCSoft, like in a store, I'd at least give it more consideration.

Those will be available in the $20 festive hat collection to be released in the future. I kid, i kid.
In all seriousness, I am a little concerned with the number of "micro" transaction items that are now or have been available in GW.
While I understand Anets need to find funding from somewhere I'm really disappointed to see this happen. I can't help but wonder what Jeff Strains take would be on this. I don't believe it's what he and the other Anet founders had in mind all those years ago. IIRC, there was a time when Gaile said micro-transactions wouldn't ever be used in GW. Of course, there were a lot of other things Gaile said wouldn't happen that did so..hmm.
I also expect that if enough people pay for this, we'll see costumes for every event and perhaps even "town clothes", all available for a price at the good old NCSoft store. Next up..."Weapon pack" (yes, the BMP sort of fills that roll but it also had some content).
Quite disappointing in all honesty. Is this what we have to look forward to with GW2?

Costume itself looks nice, but I don't pay real money for that.
In-game item should be purchased with In-game money.

they look nice, but I'm with the crowd that says its not worth loosing my account for.....we'll see when the first "I got hacked using the store to buy my costume" thread happens......
if they made these for retail purchase I would have absolutely NO problem buying it---just make it a gift card type of thing (could also do it for the other upgrades like storage and hairdos.) I bet there are still lots of kids playing who dont have a credit card/paypal/debit card who are being ignored. (yeah it would cost more money to produce a gc, but add another dollar to the price then to cover that cost).
so for the time being.....wait and see.

Guess Ill at least wait until January.
Looking at the store issues not buying definetly looks like the dominating decision rule, possible account loss just dwarves any other expected gain/loss.

What a horrible waste of developers time who could be adding *gasp* new actual playable content and improving the game instead.
Also what a horrible waste of real $$ to buy something like this in a game. Whenever I see someone wearing this in game I will /point and /laugh at them. Pathetic.

I'm not touching the NCSoft store with a 10 foot pole.
But seriously, I thought of buying it but I reaaally don't want to get hacked for something stupid like this... please man. I've given anet enough money, bought the BMP, extra char slots bla bla ...the least they can do is make sure I don't lose my account from buying their stuff. SOrry but the paranoia is contagious, its like the aliens are out there or something..
