I'm curious to know, but how do YOU gather Candy Cane Shards? Any strageties on the fastest way? Do you sell them or trade Gifts for them?

I personally re-take the Straight through the Heart and Strength of Snow missions at the Rift Warden... I normally get 15-25 Candy Cane Shards plus the end chest reward and 5 more shards as reward where I trade them for gifts, open them, collect the items until Wintersday ends then I sell them all at once

Strength of Snow quest from the Rift Warden, most I've had is 18 CC's from end fight with Grenchies not including the ones that dropped en route, plus 5 canes as reward for completion. Quest takes about 10 mins (I go afk at the end bit and let the snowmen and grentchies slug it out, prolly 7-8 minutes if you fought). Plus there is a chance of mini polar bear but don't get you're hopes up

Ps. The above quest is repeatable, not sure if Snowball Dominance is, guess you could use another toon tho!

SB Dominance, ive piled up roughly 1500 shards and i havent really gone nuts-O over it. i have over 700 gifts in storage so whatever that figures out to.

One massive issue with SB Dominance is the YAWN factor. use summoning stones to make it all sorts of neat-o.
the aftershock ele helper is toooo funny.

I've done the 4 eye quests on most of my characters (more than 20), add to that they drop and I have close to 3 stacks already--not farming them.

Snowball Dominance quest using 2 accounts

20 CC Shards
10 Frosty Tonics
1000 gold
500 Ebon Vanguard Points on each character

2-3 minutes a run, including taking quest reward, rezoning, and taking quest again. I have gotten over a stack of shards easily in an hour, and that is with random putzering around in alliance chat or whatnot, slowing me down.

I still have 4 or so stacks of Frosty Tonics just lying around right now, because I haven't been arsed to sell them yet....

Strength of Snow quest

about 120 runs or so and 8 stacks of shards, 130 each approximately of fruit cakes, snowman summoners, egg nog, and wintergreen candy canes...add to that some yuletide tonics, peppermint candy canes, and rainbow candy canes along with 120k experience

....no mini polar bear though

strength of snow generally 20 shards a run the 5 items from chest which are worth 5 shards each so 1 run =45 shard every 8 mins (tops)

Got 50+ Stacks of Frosty tonics so far (so more than 100 stacks of ccs), lot of gold, wintersday items, and all my characters got r10 vanguard

Also make a new char and got legendary survivor on it doing the quest
