Pulling in Slavers Exile
Has anyone else had problems doing this? Pretty much everyone in there has a res, which I could power my way through if I could take them in smaller chunks. The problem is that everyone seems to aggro all at once, and I can never seem to get past the first group of healers without reenforcements showing up to ruin my day.
Does anyone know if the groups in this dungeon are small and just aggro-happy, or am I going to have to take a different tact (large group tactics)?
I am running a Me/A as a AP Caller/COP spiker with Discordway. For hench, I am running Mhenlo, Cynn, Herta, and Zho. It will get me through most of the game, but there is some hate that just seems a bit heavy for that setup.
Thanks

i was able to micro it on a hero with no bigger problems while doing it h/h (as a mesmer as well), no idea if it's that easy with disco though.

Don't use discords, use spirit army....bring every offensive spirit you can think off, and some defensive spirits. MM is not essential...besides, your MM can't even match the speed of the summit MMs.

As said, Frozen Soil is pretty much needed. Another thing is that, if you have room behind you, you can try to pull the mob as far as it can go, and then fight on that "borderline". This means that if you are having issues during the fight, you can make another step behind, and the mobs will leave you and return back, releasing pressure. Then you make another step in their direction, and pull them back again.
If you have some spike capability, you can do this step-back, step-forward thing repeatedly, "stretching" the group of mobs, until eventually one mob will remain alone, or quite far from his allies, and then you can spike him and obtain an easy death.
I've always used this "exploit" (because it exploits the AI) when doing Duncan HM with 2 people (me and my friend) and 6 heroes, and always worked well. However, you can't do this if you haven't a lot of space behind you.

If you want to avoid a double aggro for certain, take the time to clear the restless dead pops all the way to the dungeon map, then pull the mob around the corner towards the map.
(Though, it sounds to me like your problem might have more to do with not being able to kill the mob than with not being able to pull it well. That mobs is one of the most obnoxious in GW.)

going duo is another thing - discord caller (with swap for duncan) with discord heroes + spirit spammer with monk heroes = unstoppable.

If your not going to bring an MM, placing some corpse control in your build is really helpful. Well of Blood, Consume Corpse, Necrotic Traversal, or Putrid Explosion are all good choice. I prefer Putrid because AoE Armor Ignoring damage in HM makes me smile.
