I love(d) to farm
I still do. Farming is great.. but who wants to farm drops? Ectos, Shards, Gems- that's incredibly time consuming. I'd much rather do runs for people for 5-10k/person, 5 people a run. At least I can dedicate time and have something to show for it when running stuff for people.
<insert recent nerf>
So I can't run dungeons anymore and I'd really like to farm people again. Any suggestions? Has anyone seen people charging for runs? Or does a run themselves and is willing to share?

Are you crying that your 600/smite or solo sin SF runnable farms are now nearly inexistent? If so, then it's your own problem of drawing all your earnings from one basket.
You should have diversified your interests from the start, in things such as:
1. Vqing for others: This is a big business if you can locate the lazy 'rich' bitches.
2. Chest running: Hoarding and selling mods/weapons can still generate a significant cash. You farm in spamadan.
3. You can still do the RA/codex for some reasonable b-faction which can be converted to Zkeys. Fairly good option on the selected PvP days.
I'm sure others can point out other sort of 'farms'. I have never run people (even though I had the option) using the so called 'runnable builds', and therefore unscathed by all the PvE changes.

It's a real shame that you need more skill to do some things now. Though not even that after the recent buff to SF.

Take the powertrade route. It's farming people at its best.

Powertrade is the best way to get money and it doesn't even require you to play boring PvE shit. I got all my nicely skinned weapons like this.

Agreed. Mashing 8 buttons definitely requires more skill than mashing 8 buttons.

look in the services thread and see how badly people gouge others for HM mission runs or get a friend for some forgemaster runs. theres always going to be rich lazy people who will pay top dollar for an efficient runner of some of the more annoying missions.

Do you believe that a series of nerfs was going to result in any kind of upgrade of farming?
Nobody is going to have an "upgraded" method to give you, because if they did, it would have been existent pre-nerf and post-nerf, and you likely would have already been using it.

The business of running people is dying off as the game ages because the people that want the runs have already got them done. It is a limited market in the way the player base decreases and the number of people who have had it done increases = less demand.
In the aspect of farming gems at least still extremely easy as I can easily make 80-100k an hour farming DoA gems with and without my guild runs. I figure when i get burnt out of the solo run I'll post it on guru as I always do with my farm builds after I have gotten bored of them.
I don't see the issue with running dungeon's 600 monk still works fine just have to adjust your damage technique slightly. Shadowform sins for the most part are actually more powerful than they were before so I see this mainly as just a QQ thread.

It is a Qq thread, and his butt hurts. ooolooollololol! Just look at the bright side though... there is no bright side! The kiddies all got what they asked for from dear ol' S[anet]a Clause, which was to rain on the farmer's parades and proceed to laugh their @$$3$ off[see above series of loloolol'ing for better detail]. Now, you're left with two choices: either deal with? (or) deal with it!

My friend recently started playing again, me and him can farm UW quite quickly. He runs a Spirit Spammer with Painful Bond. His spirits take out Skeletons of Dhuum in 10 seconds or so. I run an echo trapper, and my traps keep the aatxes blind so his spirits stay alive. Then we move to the smites, which I pull and trap. My traps get them down to 10-15% and his spirits are able to finish them off before they start healing back up.
In all seriousness our 2 man run last night went as fast as any SS/55 group I've done. I've never done a speed clear so I'm not sure how that compares, but I remember when I would run my 55 monk I could typically get to and clear the smites in 30-45 minutes possibly faster once I learned the entire run. And I got 2 ecto for my trouble.
Also after our run we're working on some energy management for me (him bringing blood ritual instead of a rez). And I'll be bring QZ now as well. Should increase the number of traps I can put down and significantly lessen my downtime between mobs.

Thanks all for your input.
I don't want to powertrade, that involves keeping track of the market, something I don't wish to invest time doing.
I think I'm going to try spending some time discovering quick, effective builds to kill the next day's zbounty or zmission, then run those the next day and charge people to "afk" as I "run" the "dungeon" =P

Lmao I call BS on that ^ one. hahahah 200-300k an HOUR haha I doubt you are getting 40k a tome or inscription and I also doubt you have an unlimited supply of them to begin with to make that much if someone bought one every minute which I also highly doubt.

I still do not understand the purpose of endless repetition of farming runs for the sake of even more farming. Where is the fun?
At one point you have every kind of gear you can imagine, and all of it is mostly for vanity anyways.
I also enjoyed GW so much that it really hurts me that it gets degraded to a solo farming run game. The endless repetitive title/achievement hunt for certain titles (treasure hunter aka chest runner) is the other thing. GW is a very straight forward, grind free game. But all our endgame activities seem to be either PvP or repetition extreme.
