Karate Jesus' information seems to be proving true, but there is definitely some writing underneath the individual banners, and the top center glob still isn't very apparent. Also, we don't know for sure if this will showcase the new costumes (presumably new costumes I should say) as well as other new in-game content to be added...
I'd say we have three days tops before we know what's going on in the picture.

The only thing that I've said I know for sure is the costumes. And I'm only around ~75% sure on those (because I was more or less just led with some hints, that's about it).
However, I still think the middle is the two faction leaders and there may be more in the background. There's no way to know that yet.
Oh, and I think the female costume models are on the inside and the male models are on the outside.

Hmmm....just had a look at the Tyria map again, and had a thought.....there's a fair amount of unused land in the map area above the explorable parts of Maguuma and Kryta. I'm wondering if the 5th anniversary content will be some sort of factions-alliance battle-style maps in this area, with a visible faction line that moves. Battles are entered by wearing a mantle or blade costume, with blade entering from denravi and the mantle entering from lions arch. Maybe the introduction of two new faction titles.......long shot, I know.....

No, it's not going to be massive, sadly: GW2G (guildwars2guru.com) has a much longer thread on Obey vs Dismantle:

I'm betting on costumes and a couple of quest lines (shining blade and white mantle, or just shining blade).

if there are separate quest lines or something, i hope u can go back and redo the other once one is completed... like with the nf missions where u could only choose 1 at first. being a completionist, i hate having to choose lol.

Why would we need another Faction X vs. Faction Y PvP format when we already have one of those?
I'm expecting costumes at the least, as I have been for a while. A few new quests are likely.
I wish this campaign had some hints as to what else is in store for players for the 5th Birthday. It will be a bit of a letdown in comparison to last year if this whole Blade vs. Mantle thing is all there is. Then again, I don't really feel like this viral thing is supposed to focus at all on the 5th birthday. We'll just have to see.

It's a shame knowing this won't live up to the hype it's been driven into. Good thing I didn't get my hopes up.
10.99 spent on two costumes and a couple quest chains. I dunno how to feel about it.

What were you expecting? Something along the lines of Sorrow's Furnace?

No, bigger ofcourse. Something along the lines of a new realms of the gods with new elite armor for all classes like obsidian and new weapon skins. In other words, new PvE endgame content that would actually be worth the 10 bucks.
And that's also why I knew in front that this was just a forum/twitter game/stunt. Some companies create actual new content, others create new content by handing out flyers and small talk. More programmers/coders and less marketeers pls.
Sorry to be a party pooper, but that's just the way things are. They can still proove me wrong and I hope they do.
That doesn't mean you can't enjoy the stunt for what it is, but it doesn't work for me anymore because I see right through them.

I expect the very least, 2 new sets of costumes (for moneyz!) and a short, lore-driven quest line.
That's it.
If they do more than that, then I'll be impressed. However, I will admit that the viral marketing campaign puts a lot of pressure on them to deliver more. If it's tiny, people are going to lose their f*cking minds.

Agreed, I expect costumes, minis, and a short quest line with (possibly) a new hero/unique reward for completing it. Also, I expect Gwen/Thackery's thing to be fleshed out also, but that may or may not coincide with the 5th birthday.

I agree, but I'm also kind of expecting 2 quest lines. they're setting it up as a versus sort of thing, so i expect a quest line from both sides. Also, probably won't have to choose between doing one side or the other.
When your staff is that small, you don't want to be making content that will only be played by half the people (if we're not talking alts)

I don't know if they're planning this or not, but I can see 2 new title tracks coming out of this.
Friends of the Blade title track and Friends of the Mantle track. Each track works similiar to the Kurzick/Luxon titles.
Vanquishing in Prophecies earns credit towards a track. Rez shrines in Prophecies now have Mantle Soldiers or Blade Rangers stationed at them that give credit towards your track for each kill.
Completing Gates of Kryta, D'Alessio, Divinity Coast, The Wilds and Hell's Precipice give credit towards the Mantle track.
Completing Bloodstone, Aurora Glade, Riverside, and the Southern Shiverpeaks missions give credit towards the Blade track.

That it's too easy to earn for a title.
Agree with costumes and quest line.

I don't think anyone expects a lot of content with a few people stuck doing it. I just wonder why Anet bothers at all. The best strategy imo is to come out with a couple big things a year that really please your community. Tons of little things may please only those already still playing. Probably Anet's biggest fail in the end, they let the bean counters decide how they'll continue to keep their community interested, and you get what you invest.

Why would there need to be title tracks? Do you think they're going to give us more PvE-only skills when we already have tons of OP stuff in our arsenal? And it's not like we need more titles just for the sake of having more titles.
