Thumbs up Story of a Scammer

About a month ago, i was selling several stacks of HoneyCombs ingame.
I was selling stacks for 60k each, and things were going well - but the last couple of stacks were kinda hard to get rid off so i announced;
"WTS 2 Stacks of HoneyCombs 60k/ea or 100k/both" - and this is what happend.

I was tired, and didnt pay attention to the trade (after almost 7k hours in GW ^_^)
I told him to give me the additional 90k, or i would report him - no reply.

I wrote to Anet, screened it - and send him the link in a template, telling him to check it out - hoping it would make him pay me back - still no reply.

Luckily Anet replied pretty fast, so i had something to "negotiate" with - and then, all of a sudden he replied.

Thrill of victory, i really didnt see this one coming - he was actually going to pay me back!

He paid me back, with a little bonus - i was happy but also kinda sorry for the poor fellow. Apparently someone pulled the same scam on him, and now all he ended up with was 2 stacks of HoneyCombs and 0k in storage.

I wrote to Anet that we sort things out ingame, and that i would drop all charges - and within 5min i got this reply:

"Thanks for the update on your issue. I appreciate you getting back to us and have noted your resolution." - GM CherryViper

All of this took place within an hour or so - and in the end, i won.

Under 1 hour? (no typo like week?) cus then I am impressed.

Anyway if he is scammed then why didn't he made a ticket no reason to feel sorry if he does not take action and let his scammer continue.

you got pretty lucky there, the next time you make such a stupid and careless oopsie the person who got the best of you might not be so gullible and paranoid.

wow u . seriously. Scamming is not something bad. its just a good player beating a bad player. if u dont watch what u trade. u click on accept. so its just as good ur fault. if u can't handle that. go play runescape. and dont trash forums with ur stupid story.
my 2 cents.

Its incredible how many people will stick up for the scammers. There is a better way to make gold than take advantage of others. Besides its easy to get caught. I got scammed once a couple years ago. The item had the same look as what I was trading, but it wasnt the same thing. I took a screen shot of what I offered in search chat and the actual trade. I sent it in to Anet and I didnt see that guys screen name on for at least three days. I didnt like getting that guy suspended, but it just goes to show Anet does respond to this kind of thing. I admit I wasnt paying attention, and the trade was for something like 15k. So the money wasnt the issue it was the principle.

It's nice everything worked out for you in the end, but this thread really has no point.
