Just checked. No change.
The area where the tower is located could be completely uncovered even before the update allowed to get in, by just scraping around the gate.

So when they buff FC for PvE it will probably be the best primary attribute? Imagine casting spells at 13 fast cast, 52% faster cast and 39% faster recharge.. My elementalist is so jealous, Energy Storage could use some love as well, as having a higher energy cap doesn't really give you any advantages besides firing off more spells before you run out of energy, but since attunes hardly ever get stripped in PvE energy really shouldn't be that much of a problem. Oh well..

When you go to the new lair in divinity coast (explorable), that part of the map is blocked off from the rest of the explorable by merchants, but you can see groups of tengu and peacekeepers passing by. Has anyone tried shadowstepping past the merchants to get a good look around the explorable, or is it blocked by the loose magic environment effect?

Dunno if anyones pointed this out but Necrosis is a skill, and not a spell so not effected by FC.

Yes, you can. It isn't clear from the way things are set up, but giving Thackeray an item that isn't "perfect" will complete the scavenger hunt for story purposes. So, if all else fails, you can progress the story by finding a merchant that sells Dwarven Ale or doing Fronis Irontoe for a free one.

First of all, as to the Fast Casting leak: I really don't understand what people are so hot about. One second cast time secondary spells will cast in a second instead of two-thirds of a second, and those are the ones that feel the most change. Two second casting time spells are still reduced by FC, as are all Mesmer spells. Ash Blast has been cited several times now. Am I missing something here, because I don't understand how a third of a second is going to change that much, especially as Fevered Dreams and other Mesmer skills will be buffed at the same time (In PvE where this is obviously the issue)?
Secondly, as to the new "content": I wonder if we will eventually be allowed to explore outside this new asuran lab when more content is added. As I see it, this could be either another starting point for missions/quests, or just a dead end. If it is opened up, but Loose Energy is left in place as an environmental effect, my Paragon might be sought after for something finally!

I really do not understand what is wrong with being able to FC skills from other professions in PvE, and given that FC's functionality has been split for PvE where the recharge is concerned, why can't it be split for casting too?

Thats pretty stupid , almost all prim atts work on other profs ( except divine favor i think ) and FC is hell not as strong as Expertise , Strentgh , Crit Strikes and SR so yes , FC not applying to another class skills is BS.

If you try a little bit you can get through and past those merchants. There are lots of White Mantle troops running around. Found it kind of odd, one of the troops had a pet [U]white[U] tiger. Didn't they first appear in Factions? Anyway, I'm still exploring as I type. This is actually the Divinity Coast mission map, am I right? The long bridge is here and is covered in White Mantle troops. Will post screenies if I can figure out how.

Those are the same as appear in Watchtower Coast. The White Mantle Scout have a charmed White Tiger.
