Who did'nt see this coming? Everything drops in prices as there are few items that have retained high values left in the game and I personally like it that way. and a-net has even taken steps to make sure other items coming from the newer content that would have some value to it does not reach insanely high prices too. Just look at zaishen coins and now medals of honor. Looks like the only item worth tons of ecto nowadays are new minipets. Weird, isnt it. Items that have no effect on your gameplay are the most expensive items in the game. hehe.

Your blaming everything on 5 year and tormented weapons aren't 5 year old BTW and no not because there getting old but overfarmed such as weapons always get. People won't spent 30e+ for something they gain in a day with pugs. If the age was to blame then the tormented weapons price would have dropped to bottem rock long ago.

I think that everyone understands that DWG allows gems to be overfarmed causing the price to tank.

No offense, but if u cared to read the majority of this thread you would have seen that.....everyone seems to understand that it is NOT just dwg thats allowing gems to be overfarmed......it's the knowledge that NM DoA can be rolled using CONS with AoE/Imba/Dual Monk set-ups.

It was there before but the prices weren't dropping. It's more the huge changes in the game lately like No more VSF the SF nerf the 600/smite nerf that made DoA less attractive for farmers but with those changes and the armbrace price it was more wanted and so the farmers migrated to DoA hoping to earn some ecto's. It used to be to empty to form a normal party wich caused to longer waits while faster farms (with a change for chest drops going +100e) were getting Pugs at instant. So mostly Full DoA were done with guild or solo/trio
