there are plenty of reasons that people don't want to or can not play with other people, such as real life concerns like taking care of a baby or eldery person, where they are on call randomly for random lenghts of time. Or their hours are such that they can't find a pug (like graveyard shift).

Stop playing a multiplayer based game then.

I bought Guild Wars in 2005 when it promised me I can do everything on my own with a team of henchmen. And since they added more heroes in Eye of the North, I think it's pretty much the same concept - everything that is not an Elite area can be H/H'ed.

It's people like you that suck all the enjoyment out of fan sites by trolling constantly. Does it make you feel better about yourself?

I myself have been playing since mid beta or so and have bought all of the collector edition campaigns to support anet. The main reason I bought this was that we were told we could solo if needed unlike many other mmorpgs, though not as many today as the designers are making sure to cater to people who solo and group.
On topic of this mission, I am really finding it nigh impossible to do with the L10 hero and henchmen on a warrior. In HM the standard enemies are L26 with others being higher and having alesia +whoever at L20 doesn't help much. Their boosted L20 skills are pretty pathetic and I didn't notice any boost in any of the other npcs skills at all. Very frustrating and has passed the "fun" mark.

i feel ya imaginos i had to team up with a few humans in order to do this mission. its really the only thing besides an elite area not counting the fow that i had to do that for. in nm no less! oh well it goes by quick with some gnarly damage humans you really only need 1 healer hero as well some of the npcs heal. the only one who died was me and only because i ran in too far away from the healer. but it still went fine

I only wish they would have opened Gates of Kryta as explorable+quest area along with explorable from The Rise of the White Mantle.

Didn't really have that much problems with the last quest, had Xandra as Signet of Spirits, Ogden as Word of Healing and Olias as Minion Master. Did it on Normal Mode and took the Archer and Enchanter henchmen.

This, nough said.
Whoever whines about having to find human players in a MMORPG should just shut up and play singleplayer.

Stop telling people how to play.
Multiplayer doesn't mean you have to play with people, it just means it's a possibility.
And lose the attitude please.
Same for the nab in the post above.
(and yes I managed to do it h/h with no consumables after 4-5 tries)

Hate to tell ya this, but in a MMO, it IS a multiplayer game by default. If you're gonna QQ about not being able to complete something by yourself in a MASSIVELY MULTIPLAYER ONLINE GAME then you either need to get with the program, get better or just quit entirely and go back to your single player games.
Is the basic concept of a MMO really that hard to grasp for some people?

No I think you are the one having problems understanding - multiplayer game yes, actually playing with people is still optional.
And again lose the aggressive attitude - I see you just signed up so I'm guessing you aren't actually new but your original name was banned.

Actually no, this is my first account on guru. Being a multiplayer game, it's is implied right from the beginning that playing with others is in fact the best way to go, while soloing IS possible, if you expect to be able to solo everything with ease then I'm sorry but you really screwed the pooch on that choice, and crying on the forums really won't change anything.
So again get with the program, get better, or quit entirely.
And once again, basic concept of a MMO, people just can't seem to grasp it.

Celestina is right.
In a MMORPG Single-player is a FEATURE
Ive played tons and tons of free asian mmorpg, and there are countless where you need a party for EVERYTHING...
Thats what Multiplayer implies...
People nowadays really forget that...

Again, I don't think you're fit to post here with your attitude, I can handle what you call honestly which is in reality more like an opinion.
Now stop baiting and don't post those juvenile chan pics.

Not it's not, it's not a fact, you are free to interpet it that way if you want it's still not a fact.
And I probably played games before you were born so don't give me "nowadays".
EDIT: one more thing, GW isn't even a MMO anyway.

Many many people, me between others, bought this game knowing it was possible do do without any problems all non elite areas with only AI. It's really one of the strong points of this game.
People could have such things to do in real life that pugs and whatelse become prohibitive. But still can choose to play an online game instead of an offline one for playing sometimes with friends.
So yes, if someone buys a game that claims to be normally playable with only h/h and sees himself unable to do certain non elite contents because henchies are not upgraded with the area upgrade, that person has some right to be discomforted and maybe to complain.
Anyway I've seen this arguement already went into very rude tones, but I wanted to make my point.

Nah, not really a bully, as that would imply I'm going out of my way to start things in threads. I simply point out the honest flaws in their arguements, especially when people complain about not being able to solo something that is designed for multiple players.......of course, you yourself have proven it can be soloed, so even that arguement falls flat on it's face.
But hey, think of me as you will, either ignore it or suck it up <3

While it is true that GW is a multiplayer game, try to remember that the majority play it as a single player game with chat functionality. It kinda lost the multiplayer nature to an extent. As such, telling people that they have to play it multiplayer may well be telling the majority of players to play in a way they don't like. And Anet has so far cared about the majority.
Doing so in a disparaging tone, however, is rather worse. There are many parts of GW that can't be done solo - and the parts that are not popular, where you CAN'T get a group, get very problematic.

Sorry, but again, I tend to be brutally honest, if people can't handle that then they need to learn to suck it up.
