I like WiK but i think that must be two ides here. No white mantle action, no withe mantle bounties ? At the beginning I belived the it will be like in factions, two sides. I see only one side for the moment.

eh not that dissappointed adn i rather like teh quests.. even brough em to proph.. rare in and of itself.
the bars do need updating. maybe hold a contest for proph bars like what they did for pvp? jsut an idea less work or the team better builds for us. we all win.
but yea cut anet some slack. they got like 5 ppl and like 4 of them are illiterate janitors.

Yes , Dragon festival is fun if you never ever did it.... but for some people who did it already 3-4 times, ...
The announcement of the festival is exactly the same than last year , so do the quests , the mini-games ( not even costume brawl ... ) , rewards , etc.... However , they said the mask would be diferent ..
Anyway , yes , someone pointed a nice thing : canthan people making a festival while there's a war in kryta... . Maybe there will be a link with that " dragon " they're talking about , like this dragon festival make the dragon they talk about appear

Guess what? The Shining Blade did not drive out the White Mantle from Lion's Arch because the White Mantle were never IN Lion's Arch. We were told, all the way back when we first arrived in LA, that Firstwatch Sergio and the Lionguard do not allow Mantle inside the city itself, even though the Mantle are running Kryta. All Salma had to do was travel there and take up residence in the Keep. So, you didn't miss a bit of fighting.

And a valid grief at that, but unfortunately it won't happen because people who only have Prophecies will use those same henchies. To be able to fight those White Mantle, you must have MOX (for the Trial), which requires us to have all three campaigns and all the wonderful skills that come with them.

I just hope it gets better.
I'm not one to complain normally but the whole WiK thing is so exciting to me that I decided to do quests on 9 toons to get all of my missing EotN skills...yeah. I stopped doing WiK on all of them after Riverside. Wanteds are just like ZB's which also have grown tiresome from repetitiveness. Wow JK, QQ moar...
Just seems like a lot of effort to watch all the dialogue, get infused on my toons that are not, do the preliminary quests, and then do the mini missions for some rewards, one of which we don't even know the use for yet.
Idk, maybe I'm just getting cranky with old age.
Have fun at the Dragon Festival this weekend all...

it really doesn't make sense lore-wise! how can the white mantle arrest people when they're not in charge? surely people would notice them and call on the lionguard? why would the mantle be bothering with arresting citizens from following the krytan law, when they've been condemned as criminals? (from the wanted descriptions and occasional murrow posts). i really hope they pick up the pace soon and unbalance the rewards if they want anything. why are some wanted quests so frugal with rewardss whilst others may as well be giving you war supplies? seriousley i think just about everyone has got a mini from wik by now.
also adding tedious quests doesn't make WiK fun, before i couldn't be bothered to get all my characters through various dialogues, now i can't bear to trudge along divinity coast twice or plow through hordes of white mantle just so i can continue the story. seriousley this was late for the 5th annniversary but that was a long while ago, its sad to see something that was so exciting just become boring like this.

Anet has already exceeded my expectations regarding the amount of content provided for WiK. The existence of new enemies (the enforcers) alone means that more than just the live team was mobilized for it.
Anyone who expected more has significantly overestimated the resources devoted to GW by Anet.
All I would have hoped for was more text. I mean, double the text is easy to do, compared to all the other content forms.

I agree. I always said it suck how the new White Mantle and even the new Peacekeepers have skill bars that have more than just one class with a hard resurrection skill. I can't tell you how frustrated I got when I was doing the "Temple of the Intolerable" mission to be killed off just to come back to find the 15 enemies I killed brought back to life. Or how slow and aggravating some fights are (more so in hard mode) against the new White Mantle where you kill someone, just to have them brought back. You kill the person who revived them to have them brought back back a different enemies and so on.

Personally, I don't mind the slow updates. I've always defended A-net when they've been slow because the live team is tiny. No helping that.
My guff is that this "epic war" is both far from epic and war. They hyped it up to be something it can't be. All it turned into was a bunch of enemies to farm endlessly.
I may be wrong, but GW had plenty of enemies to farm and grind before WiK.

Maybe Salma wants to give all of us a break. God knows I need one after the Alesia-induced stress.
As for the lack of content updates (hopefully this won't be deleted again):

A little off subject but hopefully Guild Wars 2 won't turn out like the WiK. With all the "New" features that will be in game it honestly seems impossible to be able to pull it off. It's coming off as if I'm listening to the game details of Fable. They promise all these features never seen in other MMORPG's it just seems to be to good to be true.
OK back on subject what I meant in that comparison is hopefully Guild Wars 2 won't be like the War in Kryta, a very over hyped disappointment.

I don't find that a viable excuse because this is a prelude to GWII, it's supposed to build hype and it doesn't make sense not to have more resources devoted to it inorder to make it something remarkable to keep us excited for what is to come in the future.
The above post is proof of my point on how the WiK is our last feelings before GWII

It was painfully obvious that we wouldn't get a new update during the Dragon Festival. Splitting the playerbase when introducing new content is not a good idea. Chillax, they just updated Murro to let us know that something big is coming, presumably next weekend.

Build hype? The only people who know about the WiK are those who are already playing, and to a lesser extent those who read the forums. It's certainly not building the hype any more than the interviews and previews are doing / will do. The purpose of the WiK is simply to keep us somewhat entertained and engaged by the lore of GW, and to resolve some minor plot threads (most of which we already know the outcomes of, and this is just to show us how it happened).
This is not advertising for GW2. This is just being done to fill time, like MOX, and as long as they're filling time they might as well give us something that we'll be able to connect to GW2 when it finally releases.

Nerv is so much cooler than ArenaNet.
As far as the delayed content update, I hope it just means they are doing like many people asked and delaying the tiny updates in a plan to release a somewhat significant one.

Anet is a huge disappointment in this case. theirs no armies marching, no immersive story line just a bunch of senseless dialogs telling you the same sh*t over and over again.
the fact is untill theirs cut scenes, epic battles and missions this "end game content" or "guildwars and beyond" content is another zeshion rip off idea to keep players intrested
