I had it bad around the same time as the OP, but it seems to have stabilized. I typically ping about 100-200, but for an hour it was more like 800-1000. Has anyone else noticed that it gets really laggy after an update?

I don't think it's all on Anet's end, last night I was doing ZM with guildies and I had lot of rubber banding and pings were at 1000+ while my 2 guildies had absolutly none.( one guildie lives 5 min away but uses a different provider ) So I think my provider routing to the servers has something to do with it as well.
Tried to do the WiK quest this am, pings at 20000+. So I guess time for a break until things settle down.

Same here, might not be all anet but I was able to log off and go play CoD flawlessly on a wireless connection so its not all my end...

Most likely an routing issue as usual noticed some days i had major lag spikes ended up with an error message.

Why don't you guys post where you connect from, so that if anyone from Anet reads it they could look into it.

Personally I haven't noticed any major problems, Euro on Euro-district.

Awful lag for the past couple of hours. Err007'ed out a couple of times.

Southeastern US in American district.

The rest of my internetz works fine.

Only during the wik stuff, I lagged like crazy doing the last couple day's shining blade bounties, and the help from above quest was like a stop motion film.

HM Faction missions yesterday hit 5K ping and higher.

Seems ok today.

Don't get me started. Killed 300 mobs in "The Falls" last night, and I was on the last group. Lag up the wazzo....disconnect. Reconnect failed.

Arghhhh.

I'll wait a couple days before I attempt that vanquish again. I should have stopped when I was half done, and suffered the first lag/disconnect. I was irked...

Strange that, 5 days ago i had vanquished all of Snake Dance, all of Dreadnought and i was on last few mobs in Lornar's, then 007 fail reconnect, i know how you feel.

Lag's been terrible for me for the last few weeks, but then I've had a lot of problems with my ISP too so I've been assuming it was my ISP at fault and not GW. However, I wound up helping someone with Bauer yesterday and hit a huge lagspike, and someone in the party said that it always lags at that spot when Bauer's active, so maybe it's GW after all.

Yup, me and my other half were VQ'ing Crystal overlook and into Arid Sea and we both had terrible lag problems, with a d/c.
We're both UK residents playing on the Euro-English servers.

Most likely, im with BT and no problems apart from today.

Seems to have cleared up for me though.

UK too nonetheless.

I know how you feel, was vanquishing Skyward Reach. Those Hydras are no damn joke. I only have 2 monsters left, there literally right in front of me. I get disconnected and can't reconnect. Over an hour down the drain, as well as some cons. Seriously, 2 monster. Two...damnit.

Last night was bad...got pauses every few min, red ping constantly, up to as high as 10k ms. I don't know if it's my ISP, I seemed to be the only one experiencing it.
