since yesterday, all went fine with the lag. And yesterday at about 5 pm [gmt+2, Romania, Central Europe], I've started getting massive lag spike, and this morning I keep getting good average ping, followed by a huge lag spike which won't let me do anything but move around through the guild hall, I can't even open the inventory bag. After a few minutes, i get a 007 and right after the lag settles for a bit, followed by the same thing all over again.

I wasn't able to log on due to a power outage in my area. Looks like it's just as well. Hopefully Anet will have everything running smoothly by the time I get to log on!

Despite the switchover delivering more troubles than expected, I do appreciate you guys working overnight to try and fix it.

I dont seem to have a lot of trouble at the moment, only when I try to PvP, Random Arenas are hell for code15's for me. [European English district, GMT, UK, Europe]
Also, a friend of mine cant login to any charakters that were left in his Guild Hall, he get's a disconnect when he tries. Same district, same area.
Didnt come here just to complain, would like to say thanks for getting us some information on what's going on, really appreciate it ^^

Thank you for the update! It's appreciated.
Aside from being 007'd (was on a char that was in GH) when I first logged in yesterday afternoon (USA EST), I only had a few bits of lag and some code 13's (when in a factions explorable) pop up in chat dialog. Seemed ok after that. Haven't been on yet today.

Our asuran engineers tell me that they've tweaked servers to solve some of the problems players mentioned. Please provide only information about problems you'd encounter TODAY. Thanks ^^

Ping is staying around the 200s according to the interface, but the game play is smooth enough. It's not up to 700 ping at least. I'd say so far so good, but I'm going to wait a while longer to see if anything changes.

I played last night with absolutely no problems, however the server was virtually empty. There was only 5 people in a major city that usually has like 50 and that was district one. People are continuing to have problems today and have posted these comments in two other threads not this one. The problem is not resolved, and peak times have not started yet as you know.
Thank you for taking the time to try and make it better, but I would ask you arenanet guys to log on this weekend and play in AB's during peak times, that of course is when it will really count.
Thanx again and good luck

I had no problems after the server switch, but now after this maintenance my average ping has gone up by about 100ms. Not game breaking, but really irritating.
Playing from Australia, sitting alone in my hall would get me roughly 200ms, sometimes a 300 or 100. Now regularly it's 300 to high 400's. Sometimes I might get my old ping back for a bit, but then it's back to the 300-400.
EDIT: Something I forgot to add, just before the lag I was getting even worse lag, up to about 20,000ms. Trying to map out just gave me error=13 in the chat log (I didn't know it did that). I tried switching character but couldn't get back in. Closing the client and starting again seemed to fix the error=13's, but that's when the slight lag I'm experiencing now started. This was the 13th, AEST 7pm (ish).

Ok. I took a while playing before I felt I should report back about my performance. It's as good as it was before the move and no problems. So I'm good here, for now.

+1 to this from new zealand
steady at approx 100ms more than before any changes
.. and in relation to the above post, constant streams of people leaving pvp matches, after its started
***edit: as of Aug 16, 2010 - euro servers are unplayable for me
pings spiking up to around 15k and freezing the game about every 2 minutes for 10- 15 seconds
gamestate is unusable

I'm in the UK as well, and the American server(s) are appalling (64.*). Constant lags and slowdowns followed by the client trying to catch up. Impossible to get any skills off and utterly unplayable.
The 206 server is absolutely fine. What is going on?

Just got a boat load of lag on the American district so I tried hopping onto a Euro District, nothing happened for 5 minutes then I got an Error=007.
Going into my Guild Hall then moving to a Euro district has solved the problem though.
