I've cryed from laughing so hard but thats been it...nah I don't actually really ever cry so I doubt some 12yr old is gonna achieve that on vent :P

Crying is far too extreme a reaction to anything on a mindless hack and slash video game like GW, but I do remember being pretty moved when I first saw the Searing. To this day it is the most dramatic event in GW, and its presentation was almost perfect.

I Would Say that PvP doesnt really make people into monsters it just brings out some competition, some are competition freaks, and hate losing, this is jsut one of those cases.

Bet he's the exact same with bowling etc.

The OP has actually really shocked me. I genuinly can't see why anyone (the shouter or the cryer) would get that emotionally involved in Guild Wars, or any other game, it really doesn't click in my head why it happens.

Have to say that no matter how unattached to ppl one may try to behave ~ ppl do form attatchments to other gamers. I find myself laughing through the tears.... yes ppl can be hartless @$$3$. Even when u have known ppl 2-3yrs. in game. Along comes a new allie they rage on vent ~ ppl become uncomfotable but yet like u say no one stands up to the douche bag and the guild falls apart so much for "close knit friends'.
So yah internet friends have made me cry ~ but im no angel I made em cry too. ( Paybacks a b!7ch,

especially when u are one)..... at least thats what im told I have become.

Yes, the GAME is only a game, but the PEOPLE are actually people.

If you're in a group of people that you think are your friends, and who have acted like your friends for some time, and then they turn on you and become total assholes, it's understandably upsetting.

This is true if the setting it happens in is a school, or a workplace, or in a sports arena, or on the telephone, or in a letter, or on the internet, or in a game.

A game is just a game and isn't real life. True.

However, an asshole in a game IS an asshole in real life. Every time.

This is why I won't ever be an elite in this game or any other. I just can't get into a game so much that I'd push myself to anger over dying. I'm fine with being mediocre in the game, so long as I'm still enjoying it. If someone is being an arse to me in game, I just mute them. Even if it's a guildie, I'll just note it in my memory not to play with him anymore.

I found very hard to cry for something happening into a on-line game....that's really stupid imo......and i found also hard to get anrgy if i lose a pvp match, fail an elite mission, bad team players etc etc etc...it's a game, it does not affect my personal feelings......BTW: if i fail an elite mission i can be pissed of, but not angery....i can laugh say someone is a bad player or tell him to review is build, but it won't make me cry, nor get angry......

I wonder how can you cry for something happening on a game.....
