Tonight I had a bit of lag (hard to know whether it was better or worse), but two people in the group complained of bad lag.
We'd all died bar one guy, who kept moving forwards and backwards a little bit for about two minutes, then started running in one direction, disconnected and reconnected. He said he had a ping of over 70,000.

I am from Austria and my ping is fantastic, I have not had a single problem.
Good luck to the guys that have problems and are addressing the difficulties they are having sensibly, I hope the lag you have gets resolved quickly.
But to the drama queens like FinalRebel all I can say is get a grip, it is hardly surprising a few locations experiences some lag a couple of days after the move, it is hardly the end of the world you lunatics.

My favorite part was how you weren't over dramatic about it.

I was just ERing in HoS and was hit with a... 213,000ms last ping at the boss.
Whats weird is that whilst i couldn't use any of my skills and/or interact with the game, I watched my team finish the dungeon, and my guild chat updating (and it was real time as I checked on msn).
I have a screenie, I'll upload it in a minute.

Early this evening ping was poorer then usual, but later - while vq-ing - the response improved and it might even be better then it has been for a while.

Oh yes, and I forgot to add another delightful thing; every 5 minutes or so, I get disconnected from the Friends list...and nothing else. It makes it really fun to try and communicate with people.

I am having major ping problems since the move.
I wish I had got a screenshot but believe it or not I had over 175,000 ping and it just kept going.
Logged out and back in and while it isn't as high as it was, its still horrible.....

Oh man, code=15 showed up just before... 25th match in RA!! I had perfect team, I'm sure i'd have won that. :S
During the streak about half of battles someone from enemy team just didn't load. There were many battles against 2 or 3, even versus one. To make things funnier we had a battle with... nobody! xD http://img228.imageshack.us/f/gw129.jpg/

The only serious lag spikes I got was a few hours before the shut down for the move. Since then it hasn't been much different. Normal play with occasional lag spikes that aren't enough to really affect game play.
I'm curious to see if this means the random 004's I used to get at least once a week will finally vanish. Wouldn't bother me any if they finally did.
I do hope they get it sorted out for everyone else though. I didn't take a screenshot but people were complaining in Pre about not being able to move to post. They kept getting some 'reconnecting to server' error.

If you want the support of a good server, you pay the bill for it.
We enjoyed 5 years of wonderful gameplay and now it's almost at its end. Get over it.
My advice to you: go get a job.

My advice to you is get educated before you post on subjects you know nothing about.
I don't usually respond to personal attacks, simply because I don't care what uninformed people have to say, they live in a world of ignorant bliss. But as a favor to you I will help you out (but only this one time) with some information, because I like helping people that don't know what they are talking about. I'm a giver that way.
FIRST:
Check interview with Mike O'Brien president of ArenaNet and is the executive producer of Guild Wars 2.
How has the free online play revenue model worked out for you?
Mike: It's worked out really well for us. I think its reputation and sales kind of speak for themselves, and how big a hit the game has become.
SECOND:
On Aug 10th 2010 Guild Wars 2 Lead Designer Eric Flannum stated:
The impetus was, 'Yeah, let's embrace this new direction and let's not do it at the expense of the game Guild Wars 1 players love.'
We've always said we're going to keep the Guild Wars 1 servers going as long as anybody's there who wants to play on them.
End Quote.
THIRD:
Many people purchased the game with this promise in mind (yes it was said before Aug 10th of this year) and expect that since the server was part of the purchase price of the game, they should deliver on this promise.
FOURTH:
"the game" is not 5 yrs old (unless you only have prophecies) Eye of the North was released on August 31, 2007. (I'll do the math for you) that was 3 yrs ago.
And finally if the game were dead you wouldn't see all these posts of people having connection problems. A million people log onto the servers every week and hundreds of thousands daily.
So there you have it, you now have the proper information for your next trolling attempt, I won't respond to any further attacks from you, I will meet ignorance with patient shoulder shrugging. Good luck to you and farewell, I hope you find it easy to remove your foot from your mouth.
And while he is pulling it out, let's get back on topic

I was just on for a while. Did Zaishen Elite, RA and skated through ATFH, didn't see any lag or connection problems with anyone.

Well.. it DID work right? They have sold alot of copies..

Well, again, I don't see the problem.. the servers are still there for me

And yet again, the servers are still there, so your first three arguments are invalid.
Let's hope your fourth argument makes sense

Uhhmm.. the GAME is 5 years old, Guild Wars has run for more then five years, eotn has run for 3 years.
Eotn is 3years old, "THE GAME" is 5 years old.
sir, YOUR ARGUMENT IS INVALID
Now is the last chance to redeem yourself.. to show you're able to participate in a discussion.

Well the game isn't excactly 'alive' either.. do some research and see what most posts are about; this profession is underpowerd, remove shadowform, make rangers usefull, mesmer's overpowered.. (yes, I dramatized it people)
And I rarely see any posts about connection problems; you're just overreacting because of this whole server move. Dividing by zero. Doing it wrong.
Really, STOP being 'a crusader for good', STOP being a 'rebel', and STOP acting like internet mafia (your organisation).
You really should get a life, or at least get some help.. because this is just not right.

My normal doesn't get quite as high as 500, but I share your pain. If I ever had a day where I got the pings that some people regularly do, I'd be doing cartwheels.
