I'd love to see Ebonhawke in GW1, that would be cool as hell.

for some really weird reason i keep thinking that thackery somehow got into cantha(i mean they did say the new GW:B content would be there right?) and hes somehow gonan mess something up that will make us do some very long winded dialouges and some quests that are sure to make consets incredibly useful .
eh but yea the whole gwen thackary love thing.. so funny

Your probably thinking that because it was said that after the Thackery storyline is finished, he would like to take GW:B into Cantha.

In Cantha, the successor of emperor Kisu defeated the Kurzick and Luxon factions and reunited Cantha under one banner. Cantha then became much more isolationist; all non-human races were pushed out and the borders fortified. With the elder dragon's undead corsair fleet disrupting travel, there has been no contact with mainland Canthans for a generation.
|
I thought the Canthan part was going to be about the Emperor finally taking over rival factions and unifying the continent again. Maybe just the events leading to this, such as the demise of Kisu, the rise of the new Emperor and such.

Well, problem is, the Emperor that does all the unifying is a descendant of the current one. So, I doubt we'll be seeing the unification. Rather, I expect we'll see something that explains why the war between the Luxons and Kurzicks is no longer needed by the empire, so they finally decide to gobble them up.
I expect we'll see more inter-racial tension, probably a rekindling of the Tengu wars, leading to the emperor deciding it's time the Kurzicks and Luxons were brought to heel...

If a woman can make a baby in 9 months, can 9 women make a baby in 1 month? If a ship can cross the ocean in 5 days, can 5 ships cross the ocean in 1 day? Your analysis is a little simplistic.

Your analogies are bad. Those are all time dependent.

No seriously go look at HoM... the dialogue there explains what happened to both Langmar and Thackeray...

The pacing in the Lord of the Rings movies was super weird too. A year between entering Mordor and, what, entering Mordor more? And the Harry Potter movies. And the Narnia movies. And the Matrix movies. And any other canonically continuous series. It's part of willing suspension of disbelief.

The real analogy is : if it takes 1 person to build a building in 10 months, can 10 persons build it in 1 month ?

I was trying to point out that it is simplistic to assume that doubling a workforce will double their speed by using humorous examples where this is clearly not the case.
If you prefer a better analogy, imagine building a house, instead. Doubling the number of workers will not double the speed with which the house is built, because there are time and sequence dependecies in various stages of the job. There are tasks on which you can expect diminishing returns as you add more workers. You can't put up framing until the foundation is ready, and concrete takes time to cure. You can't start installing wiring until there are walls in which to install it. Cramming 50 more plumbers into a bathroom will not get the toilet installed any faster.

You don't have to assume anything. You already know. The live team used to have more people and i think everyone remembers how much less wait time there was between updates. So if more people were to be added on the team it would be safe to say updates would come by faster.
Back on topic. Langmar... enough said
Thackery i would like to get a mission or something where you beat the crap out of charr/bandits/grawls to take him back and then some cut-scene with Gwen but i think it's out of the question. As long as we get something it's better than leaving it like this

What part of "double" is confusing you? The OP said that doubling the number of people would double the speed of updates. I was challenging that notion. I did not say that updates would not be produced faster than they are now.

Much better analogy. However when your talking about a group that small, diminishing returns probably would not be much of a concern unless you added many more workers.
Also, I don't think he was attempting to provide a mathematical formula for workforce variance. I think it was more of a guesstimate.
Soooo....yea...while doubling the size of the live team would not exactly double the time for updates, it should push them out considerably faster.

Gwen is a tsundere.
You don't run off when your are courting a tsundere, you ALWAYS want the tsundere.
They are INCREDIBLE on the bed.
But you must 'tame' them a little first.

It's not too late for that... it's never too late for that.
I think Keiran was wounded, and Nola has him secreted away somewhere while she tends his wounds...
Langmar... shallow grave for all I care, but Thackeray lives, and he's still too good for that cold fish, Gwen.
