Malchior's summary
Hall of Monuments-When you create your GW 2 account, you will link a GW 1 account to it. You will get an item to double-click to take you to your GW 2 HoM. You will get points for things you did in GW 1. With number of points, you unlock rewards in GW 2. A full HoM guide will be going up VERY SOON on the GW 2 website, with pictures and details of rewards. It does not take a full hall to receive rewards.

:OOOOOOO they actually said something....sounds kinda weird though...
use points you earned to buy shtuff? will this stuff be purchasable otherwise? is it basically just points for their new microtransaction system? who knows...I am now really interested in finishing off those last few titles...and maybe finally making a Survivor and LDOA

I hope with 200 points we can get a washing machine, so that we can finally wash our dirty armors, and with 500 a car to travel faster in tyria!

I wonder how many points you get for 3 or 4 elite armor sets, a handful of minis, a kurzick and/or luxon title, and 1 or 2 destroyer weapons across the account.
This seems to be the average of stuff in player's halls, from what I've asked around in-game. (Averaging my responses taken from a wide number of players...some had full halls and some had empty or 1 thing)

Is what they've said so far, incompatible with that view? I don't think so.
I am thinking there may be some points for partially complete monuments, and more points for full ones - no matter what you filled them with.
Ah... The Waiting Game again...

It was kinda obvious rewards would scale to the amount of stuff you put in your HoM. As in
1 mini - reward A
2 minis - reward B
20 minis- reward C
With the points system this translates to (speculatively)
1 mini - 1 point
2 minis - 2 points
20 minis- 20 points
With in GW2 as rewards (speculatively)
1 point - Ascalon Razor skin for your sword
5 points - Fellblade skin for your sword
50 points - Obsidian Edge skin for your sword
Anyway, get ready to kick your farming-mode into another gear when the details about the point system is released

that'd be the obvious way...but...I was thinking will they give a higher value to like...having a mini kanaxai vs. a mini seige turtle

Why are they doing this to me? I would give anything for a proper explanation, so I can know if anything I'm doing is worth it!

Sounds good to me.
Got a full HoM just by having fun playing my way through the game so what i get in GW2 isnt particularly important but a points based system possibly where you can mix and match your rewards sounds cool
