Seriously. Pretty dull "hats" this year. At least it s something I guess.
By the way any official word on the bugged 3-Mod-Items? Maybe someone should look into this (see thread in Price Check)
|
Yeah after commenting on a thread disagreeing with a re roll. I now fully support a re-roll so Anet can put 5 more minutes into these hats.

I like the ears and, to a lesser extent, the goggles. :-\
They're interesting, fun, and actually look decent to wear throughout the year.
(And they don't make me bleedin' hair disappear.)
Edit: Really wish they could be dyed though... I could see the logic with helms like the Ice Shard Crest (though I'd love to have it in black or crimson), but there's really no reason these shouldn't be dyeable. :-(
(And, though it would likely be impractical to code, I want my nekomimi meganekko, damnit. >_>)

WTF, the blindfold disappears when the ears are displayed. Thought the ears, being put on top of the head, can be displayed with regular headgear

What are you talking about?
Event headgear always replaced normal headgear in appearance, when toggled on.

It seems like they messed up this year's masks for the good of (paid) costumes.

I know people have been asking for the cat ears for a long, long time. They look good on some characters, but really bad on others. The goggles - meh.

Because this year "masks" are more like decorations, not masks? Can't see the problem.
Anyone noticed problems with getting them? I didn't received my goggles despite active event attendance.

Problem is that most players think that are failed choices.
A necro with cat ears....Or goggles which are so way off of Guild wars 1 chars.
I could see them fit if we had some Asura playable characters but still..

It doesn't matter what Anet picks for hats, 'most' players will think that those are failed choices anyway. It's been like this for years.
Though in a week the complaints and disappointments will fade, and the people that were content with their gifts can happily play with them.

Most players think every hat is bad. What's your point? This community loves to complain about everything. Especially gifts!
I haven't been all that excited about the hats released after 2006, but that's mostly because my characters are female. I'm not saying the previous hats were bad. I'm just saying they were a little masculine and not really my style. We are all different.
Don't like the hats this year? Slap on a hat you actually like and get over it. Rawr.
I'm pleased with the hats this year.
Oh and want to talk about quality? I paid $10 for 2 costumes that have the same issue every other costume has and got 2 free hats that don't. I love the costumes, but the sparkling edges still bug me a bit.

I was outta town so i didn't participate in Halloween...
Now :
"What's the difference between Lazarus the Dire and Kormir?"
"One never got what they deserved and the other never deserved what they got!"
I'm guessing this is the new joke. Does it mean what i think it means? More importantly this part :
"Kormir" - "... never deserved what they got!"
I didn't knew anet is sharing the same opinion as the 95% of gw players. That Kormir DID NOT deserve the status of god.
Me thinks gw2 and possibilities.

But... then how did you get cat ears and glasses at the same time...?
All in all, I actually like both the ears and the goggles this year. They don't feel over-the-top ridiculous like the paper-maché-and-balloon animal helmets of years past.
