I think the lesson learned needed to be dealt with a harsh blow. You may think your actions merit less punishment, but so do all the "hardcore" botters. they make the same arguements, they make the same pleas to Anet, the community at large, and then to any who will listen. Some threaten litigation, some threaten dire consequences to Anet, NCsoft, Guru mods. does the punishment fit the "crime"(bit harsh a word, but take it in context)? Certainly, for the moment you first logged into the game, you agreed to abide by the rules Anet set forth, and you agreed that whatever they decided to do as a consequence was acceptable. A harsh blow to those who thought "i'll just try it once, what could it hurt...", but we all see what it hurt in a very GRAPHIC manner. the message was sent, the lessons will be learned. Heres to hoping it was loud and clear for you.

I loved watching all the little bots/people tied to bots QQ as they were dragged to purgatory. Simply owned, and I can not think of a better way to have done it. People who are complainging about being banned and admit OPENLY that they have botted.... I HAVE NO SYMPATHY FOR YOU!

Nope. The consequences are exactly as laid out in the EULA. You were warned what the consequences entailed. You simply ignored the warning.

We do indeed learn from our mistakes. You learned the lesson that botting is a permanent ban.

Ignored the warning eh? Then why did I stop using it? Why did I want to play by the rules? And this is some months back... whether out of fear or righteousness.

Was I in need of a harsh blow to teach me that GW IS exploitable in pve and pvp(had no idea until few months back), which is hard being an mmorpg, and that anyone who exploits it for 1 second *rolls eyes* is liable to the same punishment as someone who has been using bots in pve to ruin the economy for 5 years with blatant bot usage.

I'm sure I'll get the ban lifted....

I'm assuming it's mainly reffering to champ syncing.

You take two champ range guilds and press enter simultaneously (during dead hours, so chance of not getting your other guild are minimal) and have one side resign so free champ points.

This sounds risky to the rating however the ladder matching system is dumb, if you get "entering in 0:10" (cant remember what it actually says...) and the other guild doesn't, you know you don't have your other guild as opponent. If all players exit guild wars before that match starts, a ghost game occurs which doesn't "count" thus your guild loses no rating and you try again.

Ever since BSpike got buried this is what some PvEers (though not exclusively PvE, some PvP who still care for c-rank) with lots of money have been using to get their champ titles for HoM or for extra large e-penis.

Same is done in codex as it's so inactive, however i've no idea if they banned people doing that or not. Odds if they were doing that they'd probably sync'd champs too.

This is starting to turn into a whitch hunt and a crusade, the wrong people following the wrong leaders. Anets ingnorace is beyond comprehension, they really should be added into the great book of "How NOT to run and maintain and online RPG"

Soon this will degrade into chaos, people will report others on the accusation of botting because he/she had a lucky d-shot, someone will see another in an outpost for more than 5 minuets and spam /report. HA and GvG is going to be transformed into RA because people will now have an overbearing sense of, "Holy cow! I can HA and PvP now cause there are no bots!!!" when in reality they are complete asshats.

All-in-all, Anet created something much worse by simply terminating everyone. Would you have simply exiled the one person who invented the power-drill over the screw-driver because it gave the other man a "strict advantage"? Get real Anet, your reasoning is biased *******t and you have absolutly no idea how to handle...really...any situation this game has come up with. (see: XTH)

All this while, if you have follow the bot/sync complains on this forum, you know the botters and synchers are not afraid at all that ArenaNet is going to do anything, they taunt you and says whoever don't follow the "flow" is stupid. Guess we are all wrong!! heh.
