Yes, it's an MMO. But I use that aspect for discussion, guilds, and alliances.

Sorry, but if you were having trouble with Riverside Assassination H/H, you really shouldn't be complaining about bad players. I'm not saying you're horrible, but you clearly have some room for improvement, because that mission is really easy when done right and using proper pulling.
I think that's what this thread is coming down to. Tons of players have been waltzing through NM PvE with H/H, and only when the party size is reduced and some of the hench are dramatically powered down do they see the skill disparity between simply getting through the campaigns and actually being a good player.

If you thought Riverside Assassination was hard and didn't won't to waste the time to find players to do it with just wait until you hit the Battle for Lion's Arch mission. The easy way to do the mission is to have ALL real players in the group. Or just try to use Eye of the North consumables. Makes anything a lot better and more easy.
Yes it's end game content, yes it's going to be hard but I think this new content is just Anet sick joke towards us and is about GW2 combat. I think they are trying to make us do stuff with other players and not depend on H/H to do everything since GW2 won't have a hero or Henchman system. It's either go it alone or with other players.

So I have been able to do this fine so far. However recently I've been stuck with people who have no clue how to play the game at all. This is bringin me down.

Just some polite ribbing but, your exp bar (no longer of value) is bigger than the party members' you need to keep alive?
And the quest isn't that bad, probably Panic mesmer, what looks like a splinter barrager, and maybe an imba? That would do pretty awesome just right there.
Edit: Was squinting, thought I counted two monks.

Yes it is not difficult if you have the right professions in your party. It is easier to do it with humans than it is with heroes because they can bring more PvE skills.
I can clear this in NM with just 1 summoning stone (no other cons), 4 heroes, and controlling 2 characters through 2 keyboards. I probably didn't need that summoning stone but I panicked when 1 hero died at that time. I thought the party would wipe but we didn't have a single wipe.

You should try it with 3 heroes + 2 lvl 10 henchies for more challenge. Still doable without too much troubles.

Yes it is still do-able in NM without cons, HM is a different matter for those who want a challenge. Just choose Alesia and the necro hench and flag them somewhere safe.

I don't think anyone came near to do it with h/h in hm without cons. I managed to kill the first jade armor boss and his group but died the wave after. I will do more trys when i have the time.

This is not true as most got into groups to do THK and is easier than all Desert Missions combined.I can only guess the reason you failed is because you had poor leadership and didn't know the mission well enough.
I see a lot players looking for real players to do Z-Missions today.I would say that it is hard enough to HM with Henchies never let alone fighting the W. Mantle.I do understand what your are going through as it is hard to even do run through Kryta.I have hard time doing it on my Ranger through The Cured Lands easy on my Monk.
To the 2 above I would block out your names as for security reasons.Vanguard Mesmer?

You sure? No henchies or heroes in gw2? If that's true then i won't buy the game that's for sure.

The word is that it will still be solo-able, just that you won't need henchies/heroes to do that. You should be self-sufficient.
Finished BfLA yesterday as a Panic mesmer with the first PUG I tried. It was good fun! I'd tried a few times with heroes/hench beforehand but without any success.

Hell yes. Some peoples don't like wasting time finding a pug or don't happen to play at the same time most guildies does. Even with guildies it takes like an hour to form a group. I have no problems doing every single areas that has access to henchies in hard mode only with h/h and thats how I enjoy the game. I know many other players feels exactly the same.
GW2 is slowly disapointing me...
First they remove the move-with-mouse function and then they removes heroes and henchies. I feel like they're doing mistakes because many players enjoys the game that way.
To Faowri :
Well that is pretty sad. How will we be able to solo the end game areas designed for 8 players... How are they gonna tune this up? Give the solo players huge bonuses to life, armor and damage? In my opinion this is ridiculous. A part I really liked about heroes is that we can try so much possibilities... It's like we no longer have only 8 skills, we have 36. I still don't get why they are "regressing" the game like that...
Regressions :
Can no longer move using the mouse : check
No more heroes and henchmens : check
Is it me or they're trying to replicate wow? What they don't seem to get is that the peoples playing guild wars usually don't like wow.

Guild Wars 2 is not going to be Guild Wars 1. I'm expecting it to be very different and I'm expecting a lot of people to be taken aback by how different it will be.
It's been said solo-play is still viable. All the henchmen did in Guild Wars was facilitate that and ANet have deemed such things unnecessary for Guild Wars 2.

Copy-paste above.
Although it's worth noting that we know nothing about the end-game of Guild Wars 2. Whine when we actually know something and you won't look too foolish.
It's been discussed a fair bit on GW2 Guru, go over there.
