1. Groups that appear w. 3 bosses in them (wth!).
2. Completely underpowered NPC's as help (these get wiped in about .01 secs).
3. Groups of ca 10 eles w. Unsteady, MS, Savannah and seemlingy 0.5 sec recharge on these skills.
4. Monster skills to which we have absolutely no equivalent (i.e. Spectral agony). And no, Pain Inverter is not the answer on groups of foes using this :/.
Addiontally PUGing on things like this is often more of a pain than H/H tbh.
If this is an effort from A'net to get us to do more stuff in groups, the point has been missed somewhere.
Well, if that's a taste of GW2, or what's to come, count me out!

if this is a taste of GW2 count me in, its called challenging for a reason and its very amazing how you fail at this game.

Well I'm not gonna mess around arguing with someone who's obviously such a vituoso expert. (laughs into fist) Thanks for the positive advice and attitude Note that last comment was aimed at GW2 ...
Oh never mind (-:
The main thing is that I manages it twice now w. 2 completely diff. teams and was fun w. a proper team who knew what they were doing.
And yes, it had indeed occurred to me that they purposely put this in an area w. a 6 team.....

Big hint there. I did a hero rebuild, easily made it to the last wave, but got steamrolled by the perfect jades (got a couple golds and around 3k vendor trash, with lots of iron salvage). Forgot to bring consets and various other DP/buff sweets - not going to make that mistake again!
EDIT: Popped armor of salvation and grail of might during jade waves - made it much easier (completed with myself and 4 heroes). I also ate 5 sweets (pumpkin pie, candy corn, candy apple, golden egg, cupcake), just for Shz&gglz.
Essence of celerity would have prolly made it a cake-walk, but I like saving the 4k con from the 7k conset
I also noticed I never got that supposed Zinn gadget buff, and that the last few waves of jades didn't drop a single item...

Still bad design is bad design. Low level henchmen for master difficult quest is perfect example of it. And don't tell me that it can be done, or about a challage, with 20 lvl henchies it would still be a challage but stupidly hadicapped by bad design.
/endrant
Did it twice in PUG though, with my dervish it went pretty smoothly thanks to full set of consumables and E/Mo ER infuser in group, with my mesmer it went great, panic tottaly shuting down jade armour and cloaks.

I managed to do it (on the second attempt) with 3 heroes + Alesia + Dunham and as a matter of principle didn't use any consumables whatsoever (summons, buffs, DP removers, what have you) so I probably know how to play.
I still think that lv10 uninfused henches are an absurd handicap to those who like to do things at their own pace.
Furthermore, my team was down at the exact moment when Zinn activated his gadget. This caused them to miss the buff entirely. Since the buff does not vanish when you die (if you did get it), I consider this to be a bug.
However, on the whole the WiK mini-campaign worked rather nicely. Kudos to the live team for free content!

LOL
Being busy and all, Ive did the quest just yesturday with one guildie.
He said 'shall we go glaive , So I anwserd..no lets go with a random hero team. Its more fun.
So that is what we did. 1 Ele nuker with savannah heat, 1 Ne/Rt healer.
1 Lich Necro I my self was a Necro with main on blood and life transfer and some on death with Putrid explosion.
My guildie was a SoS Rt. And he had a HB monk hero.
Yea we get killd I'll guess 3 times. But still ended it with a lot of fun.
Well If this is a taste of GW 2.. Count me in

You know, this was an incredibly fun quest, but difficult? I though it was hard at first until I realized a) when you party wiped you didn't auto-fail like most missions and b) we were in hard mode. We still only wiped twice, and still beat it on the first try. I had a harder time dealing with some WiK White Mantle groups and that one quest where you get the golem banners than this one.
That said, I would love more quests like this. It really was the right level of challenge (not too hard like the ones I listed above, and not too easy, either). I also love swarming quests where the mobs just keep throwing themselves at you. I would play more of the challenge missions if they actually gave decent rewards for this reason.

Why does everything have to be so easy and dumbed down that a 3 yr old can do it?
If you can't PvE, no nothing about body-blocking, kiting, flagging and can't be bothered to join or lead a PuG then really, why are you even playing GW?
H+H requires a little thought and planning, trial and error.
PuG just requires leadership and management of the odd Leroy Jenkins who wants to charge out through the gates
OP: Play the game better and stop QQ'ing that GW should be dumbed down to your level.

Well I don't know why so many people are crying around....
All say GW is dead and boring and shit like that and now Anet gives some Quest that takes more than 3minutes and people are like... "thats too difficult, GW sucks blah blah"...
I did it with my Ranger few days ago.
Had a group with:
1 Sos (me)
1 SY-Spammer-Assassin
1 MM
2 Nukers
1 Monk
All real players...
Used 1 BU and 1 Armor...
Finished it in ~40 Minutes without any player dying.... And it was a lot of fun... some kind of hack'n'slay lol

GW is dead and boring. When people have been playing this game for 5 years, there truthly is nothing exciting to do. Sure this WiK stuff is fun, but it's already over.
And eventually everyone will have gotten their weapons and won't doing the quest line, then there will be some people that didn't already do it, and will be no one to help them and have to deal with the quests with lvl 10 hench.

Sure you're right. I just think that ppl shouldnt cry about nothing new at GW the one day and cry about the new difficult stuff the other day... its just senseless...

Well even if GW is dead there are still "a few" big PvE guilds... and like many ppl already said it's not hard to do it with hero's and a second player =)
And I think it's still possible to find some guildmate helping you with a quest...

Great quest, I H/Hed it with another person since I have more faith in heroes than PuGs
We fought entirely between first Lion's Arch gates through which enemies enter, and first stairs. There was no camping on any choke points, but fight in the open field. Before arrival of the mob I'd pull back to the stairs, evaluate the mob, and then just charge. Was kinda surprised that I didn't need to pull back, nor did I need to camp choke points.
---
I'll join the suggestion someone else made: make it repeatable (of course, with a small reward not full reward).

Yea. If they can't C+space it, they'll complain. Great quest, great difficulty balance. Even if I failed this quest I would still say it's fun.

The question of whether a game is boring is completely subjective, and if the reason why you think the game is dead is because it is boring, then the question of whether or not the game is dead is also subjective. If you think this, then stop complaining to us and go play a different game. It is getting so annoying seeing all of these people QQing over what they think is a "dead" game.
In my opinion, the game is still very fun and very alive. I think there is a lot of exciting stuff to do like VQing, clearing dungeons, and randomwaying the FoW and UW with my guildies.

Fixed, also, as said above, not everyone has been playing for 5 years. And to those that are bored with gw, no one is forcing them to play(or go to gw fansites and post drivel).

By boring I mean stagnant, and by stagnant I mean nothing new and actually worth the effort. And even if there is something new, it either ends, or gets old fast.
