I'm surprised others haven't posted saying that if it's a legit key, link it to another email and have a mule account for storage........

If what you're saying is true then you have my sympathy. Just take it as a lesson learned. :/ However, there is something that strikes me as just a BIT suspicious:

First you say this:

then you say this:

I find it a bit suspicious, odd and difficult to make a mistake like that. How do you confuse getting an email and opening a box? >.>

Other than that yeah, like everyone else already stated, just avoid buying from sites like that.

Are you sure that there is no cd key in the box (check again if you still have it).
It may be on the back on a credit card piece of plastic, you will have to remove some of that scratch off security material to see it.

Or it could be in side a little bit of paper that you have to tear at the perferated edges.

If CD key is not included then you have been cheated. Its like ordering a car and then they send a truck to dump it off in front of your house and it turns out to have no engine or wheels.
It's tought luck, but what you bought from points2shop is worthless and useless.

Its fairly common "or was" on ebay to buy games from traders and they offer to just send the cd unboxed to save postage.

I did this a few years ago trader was in America game arrived a week later from Hong Kong.
Worked perfectly and didn't appear to be a fake, I am guessing that the genuine disk production has been outsourced to the far east and they turn out extra copies for more profit.

It would seem that companies are now saving even more postage by just emailing the key for some games, they probably do it for wow too.

If this GW key works then it would seem that they need to think again about which companies they give access to the code generator software.

So, you ordered it from one site, but when it came without a cd key, instead of contacting that site about it, you ordered it again from another unnamed site, which just sent you a key for Prophecies. You did contact that site about it, but they won't give you the Nightfall key unless they sell the Prophecies key that they sold you earlier to someone else.

That part sounds completely illegitimate to me since the key is something that you need to recover account info if you ever lose it. So, it's not something a legitimate company can just show to people and then sell it to someone else.

Even if you got a Nightfall key from them, I wouldn't suggest using it. Who knows how many people they've already shown that key to? Your account wouldn't be safe.

You should probably just ask that site for your money back and maybe mention them to NCsoft support because of how they're handling those keys. I'm not sure if NCsoft can or will do anything about that site, though.

Worst case, these account keys are from stolen game accounts. I wouldn't use the access keys either.

If they are from stolen game accounts, the keys are useless anyway. Adding them to an account would tell you the key is already in use.

anyways, I have actually a handful of accoutns bought from gold selling sites cause lets be honest. It benefits them to have more people playing. While their customer service sucks normally they do tend to be cheap. The thing is many won't later use it against you or purposely give you the wrong key as your a prospective future customer and the mere fact that your buying the key from them shows they are legit so your more likely to use them in the future, thus, just plain making it good buisness to get the accounts right. I actually did have one get eff'ed up it was supposed to be a factions key and it was a proph key and I emailed them and they responded by giving me a trilogy key which meh I wasn't gonna argue with. Some of these accounts go back 4 years and I have yet to have an issue with any of them.

I can understand discount retail box sales that are sold at amazon.com marketplace or ebay since brick and mortar stores liquidate them to other stores after a while but... the prices of these are just insanely low. I guess buying at volume in china and selling just the account key to save on shipping does cut costs... Still, shady IMO ^_^. since more than one person have seen the account key code.
