So basically what you're saying is, whenever you play a female character, you stare at their behinds for long periods of time? Usually when I play GW, I concentrate on the enemies/missions, not my characters ass. Strange.

I kinda doubt staring a an animated girls behind is that great anyway, considering its not even real...

Therein lies your answer. GW character is never, ever in your peripheral vision but in the dead center of the screen. Ofcourse they are just animated models and it's that animation itself that's one of the deciding factors. It's just way more pleasing to my eye to watch a female silhouette and female movements.
Also, there is the physchological aspect of making a woman (even a pixel-based one) listen to and obey your every command and generally do your bidding.

I have mainly male characters and am a male. I have a female ele because they look so much better then the stupid male eles. Plus I shift between a male and female PvP character depending on the profession.

i'm male, with all 10 characters male as well. i've made a concious effort to make my characters look as much like me as possible. (aside from the necromancer. all choices were ugly, so i just made him look like a walking corpse)
to me, part of playing an RPG is the ability to immerse myself into it. if i'm spending my time looking at T&A, well, i'm cheerful enough about it, but it's harder to maintain the illusion that it's a facet of myself....

Male
My main character is a female ranger,
also have:
female PvP Ranger,
male Monk
male PvP Monk
male Perma-Pre Ranger
male PvP Assasin
Other 2 slots are open
So why do I play a female ranger most of the time; cause female characters hold their bow horizontaly, which is way cooler than vertically.

I'm sure it's been mentioned numerous times but I refuse to spec 11 pages of mind-numbing response just to QFT one for my own mind-numbing response.
In any event, I'm a male with female characters simply because I believe the female character models appeal to me more. And its not a sexual appeal PIXELZ LOL, the male character models and armor are just... horrible, save for one or two.
Additionally, I also make all my characters the lowest possible height requirement. I just enjoy the thought of a fragile little lady ramboing mobs and dropping them to their knees, averse to the very typical and if you asked me, cliche, STRONGMAN alternative. End of story.

I'm a male; I have both female and male characters, although the majority are males (Female warrior, female pvp ranger, and I had a female monk). The rest of my characters are male since I don't really have any problem with their armor.

/Agree
I only have two characters, a female Assassin and a female Ranger, neither of which does the male skin appeal to me at all.

I agree...there's some appeal to a tiny lady wielding massive power.
I personally have 2 males (W, R) and 3 females (N, Rt, D).

All my characters are female. I started making males, but I typed /dance with my elementalist and deleted him almost instantly.
I made female only since then.

I create all of my PvE characters male, to reflect myself. Although when it comes to PvP, I create my characters as female. I just love how elegancy can hold such power =P
