Spent hour and half looking for Duncan HM (on a necro) on a day where Rand was a ZB. Didn't happen so I just went on my monk and did the ZB.
The only places active in PVE are pretty much Zaishen mission/Zaishen Bounty, FoW/UW (Speedclear only), DoA (speedclear only). Try getting a group for anything else, or with a non-meta profession and you're in for a headache.
AB is faster , JQ/FA is too (these 3 things are the only things I do for Lux/Kurz reputation actually).
I tried doing Codex too. It's worse. It's pretty much 2 teams in the outpost.

Its easier than you think, seriously. It can be even done by 2man/6heroes.
Both of those options requires the appropriate skills, patiance and skill.

Yeah, pretty much. I just hope it gets delivered sooner, or at least that we get some news about Winds of Change.

Sadly, thats true. All we can do is hope that the devs think about it after they complete the GW:Beyond project, wich, I belive, will only end little before the release of GW2, just to make a "chain" to the storytelling.

The casual players may not be able to complete it, but then you could say the same thing for UW or HM DoA.
What would be interesting is if players want the area for fun, the challenge and to practise their ability. Do the rewards matter?
What wouldn't be good is if the area rewards those that complete with some specific items. This is what can often impact the community coming up with builds to counter an area easily so it can be completed with little effort. What if there was just some regular junk as a reward, rather than the chance to get a rare weapon or collectible. Maybe that would tip the balance in favour of the players that just want to play vs the ones that just want the rewards. Or maybe that would be a dumb idea as no one would do it as there is no point.

^This.
I totally support this idea, I'd simply love a new elite area with no heroes and no consumables. It could really bring some new life, new content, to the PvE community (me included, since I'm pretty much away from PvP now).
However, as cool as this idea sounds, it wouldn't be attractive if there weren't proper rewards. Players completing an elite area whithout cons or heroes should, IMO, be rewarded properly with good rewards, golds and such thing. Sure, some people would do this for the fun/experience of such (me included), but we can't assume that the majority of PvE population thinks the same as I do. Most people wouldn't bother doing this area if there weren't good rewards - probably they'd do it just for an extra trophy at HoM.
We could think about Urgoz/The Deep with this. Yeah, both of them are pretty cool to do, but most people avoid doing it, simply because its not as easy as DoA glaive, FoW or UW. Yes, it can be done by tank/spanking, but since people have to spank in the right time, they will very often attract mobs into the backline, and such spreading the mob and often leading into a wipe. Even being rewarded with 6 itens at the end, ppl don't bother doing it, simply because it takes too much effort when we have easier ways of getting cool itens: Speed Clearing dungeons/elite areas (although DoA can't be SCed since a full run takes 1:30~2:00 to finish, glaiveway doesn't take too much of an effort).

That has always been the case. ArenaNet failed really badly at balancing all professions to be equally viable for end game PvE. It should have been addressed with the PvP/PvE skill split but they never committed the resources to it and we ended up with a much worse PvE meta that what the game could potentially have had.

All enemies will have 10 professions, 1,186 skills skill bar, +20 health regen, and 1,000 HP.
In addition, they provide no exp when dead, drop no loot, and take no damage.
When killed, they become pieces of the answer to the question: What is the meaning of pie?
They cannot be targeted, and are only visible if in earshot range. They have 3 times the range of a longbow shot at the highest peak of the game.
They eat all consumables currently on their target*.
When aggroed, they shout, "Who the hell do you think I am!?", obtain kickin' rad sunglasses, and become 100 times the size of a galaxy, and can only be fazed by throwing Big Bangs at them.
And here's the kicker: they can only be aggroed when your back is turned to them.
*devs, actually put this feature in.

On reflection, that's too harsh. It's actually more like performing an exercise where you focus on a small aspect of your body to train during which you don't perform actions you would normally do to make it easier. However, this is done for the purposes of training and you should have a clear aim.

No it's not. Players who find Final Fantasy games to easy do single character runs, players who find God of War too easy do no upgrades or no magic runs. Players who find Golden Sun too easy do minimal level runs. When players found Diablo too easy they did "hard core" runs. It's a common sense, long standing gaming tradition that when you have control over your play experience to such an extent that you have in Guild Wars there are hundreds of ways to make your game more difficult without needing programmer intervention.
I find summons in Golden Sun and Final Fantasy to mind boringly easy, so I don't use them. You can do the same things in Guild Wars.
ArenaNet could make a dungeon which could only be done in HM, no consumables are usable, ressurection is impossible and you can't bring an elite or PvE skills or more than one person of the same class. It would be difficult and hard sure, but you can do that all yourself.
There is no excuse to whinge about PvE being too easy when you have so much control over your play experience.

TRANSLATION: All of this whining is really because the OP wants better rewards because he is elite, despite all he says to the contrary. This is the real reason the many obvious things suggested which are already in game and which would increase the challenge were ignored by him.
My advice: Call a spade a spade. Just re-start with a new post saying that you think you have 1337 skills and want a mode with uber rewards that needs those 1337 skills. And that you want the mode to be hard enough that normal players won't get the rewards so that you can brag about them. At least you will be honest then.

And this.
It's such a simple thing to nerf yourself and play the game at a challenging level and not throw the economy into disarry. Plus, even if the devs create a all-limited new environment, someone will eventually figure out a way to exploit a weakness and farm it to hell and back especially with the incentive of new rares, etc.

What the economy is like now should be what's considered "disarry" (sic).

You're kidding me, right? Of course there's always going to be a fastest way of farming. That doesn't mean that it has to involve repetition of a predefined routine involving abuse of the braindead PvE AI, right?

Unless the dungeon is randomly created on entry like in Rogue/Nethack then there's always gonna be one route that's faster than the rest and that's the one that'll become "predefined". Plus exploiting AI is gonna be faster than not exploiting AI so again, unless you make the enemies act randomly then people will use the predictability of the monsters to their advantage. A fast farm is one which uses the optimum route while exploiting all the weaknesses of the obstacles they come up against, in this case the biggest weakness is the predictability of the AI.

This whole game needs a rebuilt and if I were NCSoft I would do this.I would send the game engine over to China to give it the Persistent world as well as the x axis then add auction houses as well as update npc. This is for those who wont be going over to GW2.
I would open up more areas and new towns.
