I've been trying to dump my 4 alpine seeds in 4 separate events (12am/3am/6am/6pm), and I noticed this last time he asked for guardian moss twice, but NEVER asked for alpine seeds... Oh well, I guess I hold onto them for now.

I'll be on the look out this next round. I know I had issues giving my smoky remains to the chef at the 6pm EST cook out, but I think I was just too slow as I was giving out several ingredients.

I've had a similar event when Chen didn't ask for Ebon Spiderlegs, however when the event first started, i talked to him and he took them anyway (which counted) no idea why that is though..

you could just stand next to your chef, repeatedly spam Space bar until you see him ask for alpine seeds.

they dont always ask for all the ingredients (I have been in some districts that they never asked for the smoking remains--which was good since we didnt have any

Not sure how accurate this is, but this info was from two different allies:

1. if you turn in an item before the chef asks for it, then you won't see him ask for the item. (at least I think that's what she said). If this is the case, then that would explain why you didn't see the chef ask for the item.

2. if they don't get an ingredient from anyone, then they'll ask for it again, possibly explaining the chef asking for guardian moss twice mentioned above.

I was the only one giving items to the chefs in my district. Twice one of the chefs did not ask for an ingredient. Once it was ebon spider legs and the next time it was truffles.

I was sponsoring the district and had been all day. Just those to times but it was odd.

When the timer starts all the chefs will start accepting their first ingredient. If they get it before they would have asked, they'll skip asking. Alpine seeds and truffles are among the first ones.

yes sometimes they just dont ask for some of the ingredients....(and lord, I deleted it for you).
You cant give them items before they ask--they wont take them until they ask for them and if they have started to ask for a new one, they wont take the previous one.

You can definitely give them items before they ask. You can provide the first ingredient for every dish from the moment the timer starts. You can easily be done with that before the second chef asks for his grub.

i think what happens is if someone gives a chef a ton of a item he wont ask for it. i did that with naga skins in one of the districts i was in. xD

I'll give ya a weird one, i tried giving the chef my 1 seed while running our district only to find out i had 2 of em when done running.

other than that i really don't look at any of the announcement besides their names so I'll know if i can give the next item yet.
