Default The Dervish Update Will Impact Running

Hey all..I am here to discuss the possible changes that may occur with running when the new Dervish update airs.

Most people know that Dervishes and Assassins are the main runners in this game....Dervishes are more popular however. The operate on a few running skills (usually Dash and Pious Haste), Vow of Silence, "I Am Unstoppable!", some shadow steps such as Heart of Shadow, Dark Prison, and Death's Charge...as well as another optional skill.

To put it simply before I go into alot of detail, this update is going to buff Dervish running considerably.

As of now, a Dervish can only use a 3 second dash if they are using Pious Haste...because Pious Haste will remove Dwarven Stability. With this update, a Dervish can have extended Dash and still be able to use Pious Haste...without worry about Dwarven Stability getting removed.

Pious Haste infact will not remove ANY enchantment unless it is a Dervish one. Dervs now don't have to worry about accidental enchantment removal (example being Shroud of Distress on the Grotto run). It is going to be easier than ever before for Dervishes to run high-level areas.

As of now, Vow of Silence has a casting time. If Vow of Silence becomes a flash enchantment then spell protection will be instantly cast...greatly improving survival chances.

It seems as if quite a bit of the running skills are being attended to also...we may see some of the 25%'s moving to 33% which poses more possibilities for Dervish primaries and secondaries. (NOTE THIS IS PURELY SPECULATION).

All-in-all, Dervishes are getting buffed big time in this update...in terms of running anyway. Don't expect these updates to only help Dervish runners though...there may be a possibility of newer, faster Dervish secondary running combinations rising because of this critical update.

So?

Running isn't an aspect of the game ANet recognizes as valid. Unless it affects actual gameplay (I mean PvP), it's not really a big deal.

Hooray for faster/more Droks runs?

I am simply stating that running will be greatly impacted by the update. Take what you want from it.

Not too many people care about running anymore. It's actually more fun to just play the game through to droks.

Was that directed toward me? If so, I never mentioned anything about sins except that dervs outnumber them in the running community.

I personally run sin.

Please use existing thread to discuss update rather than start a new one.
