We know that. But the idea of being rewarded for all your time in GW1 is exciting. We've known since the beginning that it would all be cosmetic things and that we might or might not use them in GW2. It doesn't change the pleasure of receiving the gift. Or the pleasure at the thought and work that went into the HoM Calculator.

Erm - and? Free stuff is free stuff.
Plus, think 3 years down the line - people who still have this stuff will be rarer, thats when this stuff will become valuable/prestigious.

Don't know about you, but I'd rather not spend X Dollars/Time on a new game where the best achievement is to have mastered the old one.

You won't be able to trade the items and you can spawn as many of these items on your account as you want.
The only value factor you're suggesting is that if only a handful of GW1 players actually make it into GW2.
They've also said these items are relatively low-end. Despite having the option to customise them to make them useful in high-end, they've already said there will be even more awesome items/armour/stuff available.
I'm happy with the rewards, I'm not going to ask for more out of it. They've mentioned so many times that they do not want to give GW1 players an advantage. So i'm happy to be given the opportunity to play with the old skins/cool mini pets. Oh and a title is a title. No matter how nice it sounds, you're relating it to an achievement. That achievement is worth showing off. Not the title itself.

The items will hold the same purpose that the Pre-Order and GOTY items hold for GW.
They're cool skins, useful when first kitting out your characters and fun to run around with and a hint back to where you got them from.
They're not valuable, aren't held in high regard and don't really impress anyone.
As for the titles, I have no doubt that once people start getting achievements in GW2 they will be more impressive to show off than your HoM achievements from GW. However you'll always have those there, just as a reminder of the fun you had.
As with any and all of these threads about the HoM, if you're only playing for achievements for GW2 then that is a shame because the playing the game is about having fun.

What value of item or its rarity have to do with the fact that i like the item?
Everyone can buy the longsword, but i still like it...

This items will be used by people that like them. If u don't like it don't us it. Anyway with time every rare item become more common (every one have bds, obsy etc) and common items may become rare (q7/q8)...

Wow, that sounds terrible. No wonder you are so upset, having 20 wasted minis must feel like the end of the world. You have my sympathy.

Generally it is good for casual players.
Yay -
Its generally okay
Meh -
Orange tabby cats, give me a tiger
Diamond Aegis? WTF? So many decent skins to choose from and we get this tripe?
Wasted 9 achievements on my main account. Really bad for hardcore players. Spent hundreds of hours running chests - pointless.
Spent milions of gold on lockpicks and time id'ing golds - pointless
Mapping titles - wasted time and frustation on this - pointless
Lucky and Unlucky - wasted time and money - pointless
Pick any other achievement - pointless
So for hardcore players they get the shaft. Meh......
Feel really sorry for the r15s who get nothing really compared to anyone else, they should have had something special for that.

Thank you Easter Bunny!
My duplicate minis (21 toons over 2 accounts = a LOT of duplicates) and extra mat stacks just made me quite a bankroll!

All I have to say is I am glad I never sold any white purples and golds minis
I like rewards for playing I like the calculator ~ Although I think the Hard Core players got the short end of the stick. The more titles more points IMO (but who cares I hit my 30 with little effort) Now the titles... do I shoot for it or not that is the question.

Why not? What else are you going to do?
Cool thing is, we have plenty of time to get any title we want... plenty of time.

What's the current speculation on a release date? So far, I've heard other speculate anything from q1 '11 to q2 '12. That's a big, big span!

I originally liked the HoM because the initial system of adding titles encouraged you to try/experience different parts of the game you were skeptic about, these HoM guides feel like more of a job than casually getting gwamm over the years.
I always considered the HoM a way to help move dedicated players from gw1 to gw2, but after seeing the rewards die off at 30/50 I see no incentive/reason to move to gw2.

After about a week of playing starting with a basically empty account. I'm up to 10/50 rewards now. Working on completing Nightfalls, accepting, but not doing all the side quests. Just doing only the Hero unlocks and main storyline.

Sorry if I'm taking this out of what you meant it as, but there's really no context for it.
No incentive to move on? Really? What about the fact that GW2 is an astoundingly stunning RPG in Development, or the fact that it's the sequal to a game I and others have been playing for five years plus now?
I don't want to go out too much on that line since I'm fairly sure that's not what you meant, but just in case.
Moving on, if you needed the HoM rewards/transfer as an incentive to move on to Guild Wars 2 at all, you're getting into it for the wrong reasons. I've endured countless hours of grind, trading, missions, quests and everything in between and I couldn't give less of a damn if it meant anything in Guild Wars 2 or not. It's all well and good if you want to come into Guild Wars 2 displaying a flashing banner that you demolished Guild Wars 1, good for you, but to turn your nose up at that is taking it too far. Anyone who has played Guild Wars for as long as five years has built up an infinite number of reasons to transfer to GW2. If you're the type to rage out of playing a groundbreaking RPG because you don't stand on a podium above everyone else from the get-go because you spent thousands of hours grinding on a different game, then I'd rather not play with you to begin with.
