I remember when Wammos with Mending were popular in pvp. To use Frenzy and Healing signet at the same time was bliss.
I remember when rangers were azzholes in RA and would run around forever with that silly whirling defense and you couldn't ever catch them or kill them and they would do it and do it and do it and make the other team quit because nobody thought to bring a snare or slow skill or a rez. Thankfully Anet fixed the annoying ranger and put a timer on all the battles. Now I just laugh when the little punk rangers run. I just sit down my character and go get me a sandwich and of course report him for annoying play.
I remember players in RA always complaining about someone not bringing a rez cause they died 3 times and the 3rd player didn't rez him again. lmao
I remember monks getting abused because they couldn't heal worth a damn, not even themselves. It was always the monks fault if you lost in RA.
I remember the rage quitters and the monks that would threaten to leave the group when you were at the last stage of a hard mission if you didn't give them 5 plat.
I remember the day the market crashed and you could get ectos for 100gp (that pretty much ruined the economy of GW from that point on).
I remember when Factions first came out and guilds or these gold selling agencys bought all the runes for Ritualists and Assassins from the merchants and then charged an arm an a leg for them from the players who didn't get any before the sell out.
I also remember in Factions when players would pay 10k for 1 amber or jade. lol Did I ever make a killing during that time. Impatient people make these games and make a few players rich and in the real world some people a lot of real money.
What's funny today is seeing Rits and Ele's with daggers in PVP and rangers and sins with Scythes. lmao
I remember when that elite ele Blind skill would last for 10 seconds and you could keep the melee class blinded indefinitely...before they nerfed it to hell of course. I loved the whining melee class in RA when I would use it on them. Hey I says bring condition removers (this was before mending touch was introduced and ruined blinding in RA PVP)
Then there came Shadow Form and pretty much ruined the entire pve game because nobody wanted to group after that and heroes. Farming builds and speed clears abound but hardly any just fun grouping up anymore.
Alas the good ole Guild Wars is no more. All that is left now are gimmick builds and 8 year olds.
