I have quarrels with this actually, calling someone a noob for not knowing what to do is kinda of backwards if you aren't willing to teach him. (Not calling you out specifically, but the community in general.) Its just like UWSC, its almost impossible to find a group if you haven't done n runs(where n is the amount of runs you have completed) and you can't do those runs if nobody is going to let you join. Honestly, he could have probably just told you "the quest reward is 1.5k so, you can just pay me that after each run" instead of insulting him and arguing about cupcake values.

Maybe I'm just too nice, but I don't think that this is proper behavior towards people who are less experienced, just give them a chance. I mean, I've done plenty of SCs where I just didn't make someone pay if they didn't have the money, or offered to pay for them. Its no big deal. It all comes around in the long run.

Just my $0.02.

He's an idiot for refusing barter?

Also it is only a month until birthday cakes, so it is also quite possible to view this as you trying to pawn off the last of your batch before prices drop.

Additionally cussing at someone and then going off on them being a douchebag for getting hostile is a pretty awesome attitude. I'm sure guilds are clamoring for you to join.

TSS, thnx for sharing and i agree with u all the way. i know it is bad that i used such profane language and i know it was my wrong, however i want to exclaim that it wasnt my response i was pointing out, it was the way he demanded+showed complete ignorance to how much my offer really was. (this should apply to all those hate comments)

The irony here is you called him an idiot.

Cooler heads will prevail. You both are idiots from what I can tell. Respect is earned not taken. Whether you're right or not, you come at me talking like a 15 year old with no respect you're gonna get the same treatment in return. What goes around comes around. Bitching about some stupid trade over cupcakes is laughable for the both of you. Find something more important to cry about. You took it a step further by posting it on a public forum which makes you even worse then the guy you are accusing. He's probably forgotten about it already while you're here publicly crying about it. Drop it and move on or you can continue posting which will make you look even dumber. Don't blow this out of proportion. (even though you already have)

PS. It doesn't matter shit all what the value of cupcakes are. If he doesn't want the cupcakes it's NOT your place to say otherwise. You have absolutely NO SAY in that matter. Find another group.

PSS. To answer your question. From 6 years of playing YES I have encountered such problems but unlike you I don't give a shit because it's no where near important and I certainly won't post it publicly.

Why is he an idiot for refusing to barter? Monetary systems were created specifically to circumvent inherent problems with the barter system. I have many times refused trades specifically because I sought currency rather than barter. Aside from that it takes time to convert a barter into something else and time is money friend.

Real money > Perceived money. Petty arguement, but OP, you were in the wrong. Not thread worthy. Here comes lemming.
