April Monthly Automated Tournament Commentary - 4/30
Date: Saturday, April 30
Time: 11:40am PST/7:40pm UTC
Place: Guru's GvG Commentary channel on justin.tv
Yet again, we will be providing commentary on the GvG Monthly Automated Tournament. This is a great way to understand how GvG works, meet some top players, and ask questions. In addition, with the introduction of the new PvP mechanic of Fluxes, their implications both for this month and in the long run will be discussed.
Commentary this month will be provided by Hates and Phil of Inadequately Retired [GoLd].
If you are unable to come or miss parts of this event, the entirety is being recorded for your convenience and a link will be provided once available.
The channel's stream chat will also be frequented by experienced players, so feel free to ask questions there.
For examples of previous months' commentary, recordings are available at Apok's youtube channel..

And this is exactly why it would be a bad idea to tune in.

Contrary to common perception, the people you meet in Random Arenas or Kamadan wearing gold trims who call everyone idiots are not top players.

Is this a troll?
I genuinely think I'm nice, maybe I'm wrong.

Either that or he has had bad experiences with certain people to the point that it has affected his perception of the gvg community as a whole.
On topic: Looking forward to seeing how the flux system will affect the MaT!

Perhaps things have changed since I was last involved with high-level GvG, but most top players tend to have massive egos and e-peens, which can be off-putting to "PvE carebears".
Though most people are still nice, even the most elitist! Just don't be a douche, and PvPers shall not be douchey towards you. Same applies to asshattery!

Yeah, see the "DDoS mAT issue" thread and then tell me high-level players aren't so bad.

Meh, I don't know any of the current generation; perhaps times have truly changed ╮(╯_╰)╭ Along with the maturity of the playerbase.

It saddens me greatly that you have to answer these type of questions.
It also saddens me also that they without a doubt never listened in, or they would not have posted their opinion.
Please listen in if you have interest in PvP, and don't be so prejudgemental (sp?).

Not that this has anything to do with the commentary, but those offenders aren't "high-level". They are just hackers.

The commentary of the guru tournament was both entertaining and informal, don't knock it until you have tried it
