Default Z-Coins really worth the effort?

Hi everyone. I just started this thread hoping to satisfy my curiosity. I wanna get an envoy weapon, as probably a lot more guys want. And here comes the problem : 100 gold coins. Really? That much. Well...I can either pay to buy it, in which case the satisfaction will not last too much or I can actually work to get it. So, even though I can easily afford buying one, I went with the point of all z-quests, missions and w/e and started doing all the z-stuff every day. It's been more than 1 week and I only have 11 gold coins. I don't have more than 2 hours / day to spend playing GW, so I can't do everything on all chars. Then I thought I should do the math here...more or less...it will take me how much time to get 100 gold coins? 2 months? Maybe. Depends on how fast I will get bored with doing z-stuff every day on all chars I possibly can, ignoring the rest of the game and hurrying from one spot to another, hurrying to find a group or to change my Heroes' setup for the next thing etc., ignoring my guild, buddies and everything else. So 2 months of doing z-stuff only every day sounds ok to everyone? Is it just me or the rewards are a little too small (compared to the length & difficulty of the ZB/ZM/ZC/ZV)?

Use a collectors weapon and beat the game with it. The rest is extra.

Pick your daily zaishen quests wisely

P.S. 100 coins is not worth the effort for semi-decent skins in a semi-dead game

If you have all you titles done the small reward of copper can get a little frustrating, if not you get well on your way to filling a bunch of them.
But you want this weapon and don't want to pay 200e for it you just have to go with the flow of daily quests i'm afraid.
2 months ain't that bad or are you afraid the price of the weps have dropped by then.
I have worked/farmed longer than 2 months for some items I really wanted.
And above all, this you should alk yourself if YOU think it's worth it, not us

when the zcoins first came out--I did all the bounties I could and all the missions with as many characters as I could (15 times thru blacktide den in one day--bleh!) after the first week or so I couldnt keep up...I started to pick and choose which ones to do with which characters---after a month I had enough gold coins for ONE heavy bag. ....now to get ones for the other dozen characters ....yeah didnt happen.
so just the THOUGHT of getting 100--blows my mind away...I have 2 yes 2 right now and I worked all week long to get those. (vanquishes help a lot now--wish they had been around from the start).....I dont see me getting that nice staff for quite some time---maybe as a wintersday gift----

(to answer the question---NO! they are not worth it)

You are better off just doing gvg on top of other shit for that random chance to get it in the zaishen box.

Yeah it seems ridiculous to ask for 100 G-ZCoins but I guess ANet wanted to put in something else that people would go crazy for and spend money on. I mean if it was armor you better believe it would be worth it.

[Off Topic]

I wouldn't even try getting an envoy weapon.

I mean ... it's just a MASSIVE money sink and no one knows you even own one unless you group a lot.

It doesn't even count for HoM, so you might as well turn what could be money for an envoy weapon into money for a set of Obsidian Armor. Or more points for HoM since Envoy Weapons aren't going to be passed from GW1 to GW2. Just my point of view.

Bha...all things in GW are a waste of money, except for pve-skills-related titles,that are needed to increase power of skills.
All the rest is optional,i dont understand why ppl keep complain about it...the fact are :
* Droknar's Forge Armors (4k+materials) = Obsidian Armor (105e+105shards+60k+materials)
* High-End Skins (100k+) = Weapons Crafters or Collectors (5k+Materials)
* PVE Titles Are Optionals (Except Skills Titles)
* PVP Titles Are Optionals
* Minipets Are Optionals
* Hero's Armors Appearence Are Optionals
* Ectos and rare materials Are Optionals
* Zkeys Are Optionals
* Gold Coins and Envoy Weapons Are Optionals
* Tonics Are Optionals
and i can keep going.

With this i mean,if you want only play the storyline to complete the game,you just need random q9 weapons with max stats and max armor that you can buy for 5k.
Even if you want do more, for example complete all quests in HM, you dont need high-end weapons or Armors..they dont chance your stats but just the skin...
People forgot this.

well its really not a money sink because your trading with other players so the money is still in the game.

First, the OP already stated he can easily buy the sword, ie, he's already rich, but that then the weapon would be worth little as he wouldn't have worked for it (kudos on someone realizing it, like me, although I'll earn and buy my Zcoins for it

Second, the Envoy weapons are mostly meant to be a goal for people who, like me, no longer have a goal in the game. I've done everything, I've got everything, I had nothing to do - and BANG, an update brings us a new goal to work for.

Even those are optional. Those PvE skills aren't the end-all-be-all of the game and it's very possible to play with them low-leveled or not use them at all, and still faceroll PvE.

Depends on how much your time is worth? Do you have a job? A 13 y/o with nothing to do over summer vacation?

Personally, 100 G-coins is way too much, I think its easier to get 100 ectos.

IMHO, it's not a question of Z-coins being worth it, but are envoy weapons worth it? And my answer is absolutely not. Just another max weapon skin, and a ho-hum skin at that. I'd much rather use z-coins for Heavy Equipment Packs (something that's very useful) or Z-Keys (either for re-sale or to use to test my luck oe chest).

No, 100 Z Coins way too much time, effort for mere Envoy skin. I used them for bags, was fun up to that point.

I agree wholeheartedly its far too expensive.

Still do the Z missions but only the easy and fast ones on multiple characters, will see how many coins I can get to before boredom sets in.

well depends.... they are not worth wasting your time doing 10 boring missions every day.

but sometimes there are missions like imperial sanctum giving 100+ copper coins and can be finished with every toon in like 1:30minutes....
or there are some bosses u can kill rly rly fast with every toon you have.
so you spend like 1-2hours doing missions or killing a boss for 15-20 silver coins...

gw is just a game... entertainment. if you find it fun obtaining that weapon the hard way then it is worth it to you. i hope they introduce an invisible weapon at a trader for
100 000 ectos.

My favorite part about this is that, we were told in GW2 that we'd have a token system for the armor in dungeons, but it wouldn't require an insane amount of tokens to get your armor pieces. But here we see them doing the exact opposite in GW1, it makes me worry that they will pull this kind of crap in GW2 despite what they are telling us now.
