Big thank you from me as well.
I should also point out that making a game is very much like writing a novel, something I have done more then once. People often forget that simple rule that for every action there must be a reaction. Making a story work in a game or a book is very much a series of actions/reactions that continue to build until you reach the climax. This holds true for more then just "actions" but as well for conversations and movements. Understanding both how and why characters travel from one location to another can be a massive undertaking sometimes. I think in GW you have done extremely well in regards to the story and the gameplay reflects that as well.
Fantastic work, please keep it up!

THANK YOU! for your effort. Six people is really a small number, and yet we're still getting profession fixes and new content.
I agree the first part of WoC was a bit monotonous, but from what I've heard, the second seems much better. Why haven't I played it more yet? Because I'm an Elementalist, and I'm bored of using SoS rit or AP+PvE skill bars. As you guys have plans for an update, I've decided to wait because I want my gameplay experience to be as refreshing as possible, and playing new content with "new" skills seems mighty exciting for me! and for a six years old game. Even if it means I'll have to wait until the final chapter of WoC is up (I suppose), I don't mind.
Thank you, Live Team.

I have to respect ANET for creating Guild Wars in the first place and ending the grindfests of typical MMOs. Bottom line.

In fact, video games use MORE lines of dialogue than a novel!
A mere gameboy game such as Pokemon Card GB2 uses about 11173 lines of dialogue (I should know since I'm making contributions to translate it.)
Guild Wars on the other hand... Let's just say I feel bad for translators. There must be a TON of work involved! GW probably uses about 90000 lines of dialogue.

However, it would be interesting to know where the ele's update is placed on the schedule. Is it being done at the same as WoC? We haven't got skill updates at all in the last months, so does that means the eles are already being worked on? Anyways, that's getting off-topic.
Thank you again. I'm gonna log on to play Costume Brawl now, which I must say, it's so good I'm surprised it's not treated more seriously in-game.

Don't talk condescendingly to me about maturity. Of course I am greatful for what the GW1 team has done. I was very mature in my previous post and I said nothing negative toward them. I hardly think that kissing their boots is a requirement to posting in this thread, however.
So this is what I have to say to you GW1 team: I thank you for the work that you have done so far on content, and I am sure that those who played it enjoyed it very much. I also hope to see a skill update soon.

Are you happy now Saint Scarlet? I do hope that in the future you will use more maturity in interpreting/responding to people's posts on these forums.

We all have a grumble and moan at aspects of GW at times, however what some of us forget, is that if we didn't still care so much, we would never say diddly squat about anything.
Kudos to all those who have been part of GW for all these years: many said the economic model would not work, well it has, and rather well too.
I am still surprised the coders can afford to spend time at all fixing things here and there, not to mention the extra content now and then.
Congratulations for all the good work over such a long time.

Lets try to avoid whining this time round, which resulted in the whole event thread having to be rebooted

Finally getting jaded with GW nearing 6th gwamm and 2 x 50/50. Had a greaty time with the game and thanks to the people that put it together and fed me with free content over the last 6 years - much appreciated, even if you never killed off Shadowform as I would have liked . Soon I will take up Skyrim and use that to fill the void up until GW2. See you all again when that gets an eventual release date.

A big thank you from someone who has been playing since beta. Of all the computer games I have ever played (most of the main ones from 1990 on) Guild Wars has been my absolute favorite.
Very much enjoyed the WiK and WoC content and looking forward to the Halloween content! Mad King Thorn is on top of my list of Halloween favorites.

Thank you from me too.
I do some 3D modelling and animation scripting for MS Flight Sim, so I have a bit of an idea what goes into a game. For 6 people to keep GW running and keep adding new free content is monumental!

In a world of two faced developers and filthy publishers, ANET shines with a fair marketing strategy and great content.
