Default Live Team PAX News

I've been trying to find any Live Team news from yesterday's PAX. It has kinda been put left aside because of all the new gw2 pvp videos, and many people here didn't even know the Live Team was there yesterday.

So far, what I found, from poster Malchior Devenholm at guru2:

I'll just tell you the condensed version of the Live Team panel.

Changes coming to Hard Mode, and changes coming to Elementalist.

Next phase of Winds of Change still in the works.

Neo Nugget can confirm this. He was there.

I was reading up on one of the other fan sites and they said along with the eles they would be looking at the elites first. They are also looking at the smiting monk, ranger and paragon for possible 'revamping'

They say woc design is finished, and is around 2/3 totally done. The time frame to get the rest out is somewhere between a month to two months time, but hopefully before the new year---- remember anet doesnt keep time they way the rest of us do

its nice to know they are still working on stuff.....

Won't get my hopes too high up since a bit more confirmation is needed, but I am definately getting excited for ele changes. However saying that, I wonder why the live team didn't try to get us more excited about these changes pre-pax? I mean, I know a lot of people here would be interested to changes to eles. Right now, the info posted is very vague and it makes me wonder how far the live team is with these changes? Surely if they were moderately far in, they would have posted something like this "changes to ele coming!, more news at PAX so stay tuned " and give us a teaser of some of the changes. Then again, I will wait till the end of PAX before I judge.

WoC 2nd phase still in the works?

Mega QQ... Here I was thinking they already had everything planned out... Looks like I'm shelving GW again! <3

I was at PAX yesterday and the ncsoft booth is close to Microsoft's. All I saw was GW2 gameplay, not the ele changes.

I've been trying to find information from this panel as well. CMEPTb from GWO @ incgamers posted the following there:

Some information for you guys. Some type of Elementalist update is coming. The team is interested in working on the Elite skills first, then the secondaries.

And example of something they were looking at concerning Gust (may be completely different when released):

5(e) 3/4 (c) 10 (r)
Elite Enchantment

For 10 seconds both your and target ally move 33% faster. When you cast this spell, all foes near you and your target take 58 Cold damage. Attacking or moving foes struck by Gust are knocked down.

They are also looking to revamping (do not know how big this "changing of skills" will be) of the smite monk (monk), Ranger, and Paragons (order randomly given by me).

I found it interesting that they are reviewing how the mechanic exhaustion works in general across professions.

Winds of Change has all design finished, and is around 2/3 totally done. A time to get the rest would be somewhere between a month to two months time (but hopefully before the new year). They talked about how it is always difficult to put (i.e. First part of WoC) a prologue type of update when players will not get the whole story until they complete all three parts (other two parts are said to REALLY kick things up).

Hopefully more people who attended can post details.

Ooh, the possibly new gust sounds so interesting. Use it on a kiting monk, and everyone trying to catch them gets KD. Speed boost and a buffed whirlwind for two party members. That's some great utility right there. Glad to see it's not just a damage buff to skills but something more creative.

Changes coming to Hard Mode...
Probably the most scariest thing I've read all year so far.

As for changes to Gust, I'd like for something with Second Wind, Mist Form & Ether Prodigy done too.

If I had to guess about the HM changes, it'd be something to do with AR to help out classes like Ele and Ranger that fall behind in HM.

If they make hard mode easier I will be most peaved, Hard mode isnt even that hard and im not even one of those players who goes around saying theyre leet and people should run gimmicky builds to get past the difficulty. Though i do think they should look into the WoC areas such as Cho's estate that are painful to play.

I think they should introduce more secondary profession monsters, like they did in EotN.
It would at least be a bit more of a challenge.

I do like the creativity for the elementalist skill. Not just damage buffs, but some interesting changes.

I'm looking forward to it all!

Hard mode changes sound scary, but it could be good.

Looking rather Interesting on the Re-work for Paragons. Hoping its going to be skill changes rather then a Whole Re-work like they did to the dervs, That really put me off them forcing me to delete as i'd never play it >
